There was so much work to do. Every few hours she'd ask herself why she was doing it at all. For someone who didn't deserve it, not even a little bit. Hina carried a stack of books in her arms as she left the library. She was a total perfectionist. If she was going to put together a whole interview, she wanted it to be perfect. Something that will be recognized for how hard she worked on it.

She was born quirkless. A totally normal and average person. To make up for that, she always performed well in school. It made her feel good about herself. The same way how people play sports for the euphoria they get from winning.

But with less ambition.

Ever since she first entered the hero agency of pro hero Dynamight, she realized she had been all around his covered area. Her university was nearby, her favorite coffee shop, even the faculty library. The thought of running into him haunted her every time she set foot outside now.

Distracted by her phone and balancing the books, she checked the street briefly before stepping down from the sidewalk to cross it.

"Hey!"

Someone grabbed her by her arm, pulling her back on the sidewalk. Her stomach turned when a car raced by not even a second later. It would definitely have hit her. How could it be that she kept getting into situations like this?

Hina turned back to the person, who was still holding on to her arms. It was none other than the one person that was haunting her in her dreams: Katsuki Bakugou. Her heart beat faster when she looked into his eyes, unable to get a single word out.

Again. He saved her once again.

"Are you an idiot? Do you walk through this world in a pink bubble or what? It's no surprise that train almost hit you. Be more careful!"

She took a deep breath, shaking off the shock as quickly as possible. "Don't yell at me.", she bickered back and Katsuki rolled his eyes. Again, he wasn't wearing a costume. Which meant he obviously wasn't on duty. So why was he here at all?

Katsuki tilted his head, eyeing the books in her hands. Then he took them off of her. "Are you studying for something?" Hina nodded, trying her best not to sound too bitter. "I'm researching about your stupid interview."

"Follow me."

"Why?"

"Just do it."

Only god knows why she listened to him. Maybe because he was the only person in the world she knew that was more stubborn than her. But part of it was also plain curiosity.
