Omniscient
"Good mornin" Messiah greeted as Mia got into his car
"Good morninggg" Mia sang as she buckled her seat belt
Messiah glanced over at Mia as he drove them to work. "Nice outfit" he simply said as he looked back at the road and smirked
Mia was dressed much more casual for her second day as there was no company dress code.
"Thanks" Mia responded, looking out the window to hide her blushing.
As Messiah drove, the silence between them was thick with unspoken tension.
"Yours is cute too" Mia spoke up, breaking the silence in the car.
Messiah chuckled. "Preciate it mama" he said.
Mia rolled her eyes as she blushed. She felt a tingle in her stomachMessiahs phone started ringing over the car speakers.
Messiah furrowed his eyebrows at who'd be calling him this early. Mia glanced at the screen on his dashboard to see the name Ava Mom
Messiah pressed the answer button, "Hello?" he said
"Ava wanna talk to you before she go to school" a woman who Mia assumed was his baby mom spoke
Before he could respond she'd passed the phone to Ava.
"Good morning daddy!" She said happily
Mia smiled at how adorable her voice sounded
"Good morning princess" Messiah said
"Daddy, Mommy said I'm coming to your house on Friday because she's going out of town with her mannnn," Ava said, her voice trailing off with excitement.
Messiah raised an eyebrow, glancing over at Mia's eyes had grown big. Messiah shook his head in irritation, not at Ava; but at the fact that her mom was referring to her fiancé as her man to his daughter. "Y-Yea you coming to stay wit me this weekend baby."
"Daddy I want to come now." Ava said, messiah could tell she was now pouting. "Can you come get me now?" Ava asked
"Not today baby, daddy going to work and daddy got a friend with him right now."
"Ohhhh a friend?." Ava's voice was dripping with curiosity. "Is it a girl?"
Mia's eyes widened, and she sat up straighter, feeling suddenly exposed by the innocent question. Messiah cleared his throat, glancing at Mia who was now covering her face, trying to hide her embarrassment.
"Yeah, a friend," Messiah said carefully, trying to defuse the situation. But Ava wasn't done yet.
"What's her name, Daddy? Is she pretty?"
Mia looked out the window, her face heating up as she tried holding in her laugh. She could hear the smirk in Messiah's voice as he replied, "Yeah she pretty. Her name's Mia."
