chapter 1: disappointment

     Destiny POV

      Running is all I remember of my childhood. Running from life. Running from problems. Running from people. And most of all my family.
     My father is human. My mother is a wolf. And me... Well to them I am just a disappointment. My father died. Leaving me and my mother. So it's just us.
     We live a little close to Wonderland not too far just a little ways from the Rabbit Hole. To me it's just another day. To my mother it's a whole different story.
      My mother stormed into my part of the den.
       " Ah there's my disappointment for a daughter. Look what I got from Auradon." She holds up an envelope with Auradon prep emblem on it. " Apparently principal Uma is inviting you to attend Auradon prep this year." She paused waiting for me to speak.
       " Could I go momma?"
       " Well you do need education and I won't have you here as a disappointment. So I will say yes, but you must go on your own I do not want to be with a disgrace of a daughter. Pack your things. School starts soon."
       Well that's a first. I didn't hesitate to get my stuff packed.

Time Skip

     I arrived and to say it was an awesome sight was an understatement. It was massive. It's even bigger than my den for a home. Well we are wolves after all.
     " Welcome all to Auradon prep. My name is principal Uma. And my right side of me is headmistress Fairy Godmother. We look forward to a good year. We will have a line to get schedules and room keys. Have a good year y'all."
    The line was endless, but I didn't care. I was excited. And happy. Maybe I can be my true self since my mom won't be around. It was my turn.
       " What's your name?"
       " Destiny Wolfbane miss Uma."
       " Ah here you go. You have room 121 and there are two others who will be your roommates. If you need anything come find me. Also you have really good mannerisms miss Wolfbane."
       "Thank you Miss Uma. For inviting me here I look forward to a good year."
        I walked to my dorm room dropping one of my suitcases in the process.
        " Oh for the love of wolves."
        I guess I made a lot of noise and found my roommates opening the door.
         " Sorry didn't mean to disturb you guys. Is this room 121?" I asked
         " Yes are you Destiny?"
         " Yes thank you for opening the door. I'm sorry I also didn't mean to drop my suitcase. It just decided to fall." I laughed
          " Well come on in. Would you like some help with your stuff?"
           "That would be great. Thanks."
          I walk in and the room was huge wait no massive. Bigger than my den at home.
          " Hi I'm Chloe Charming, and this redheaded person here is Red of Wonderland."
          " Hi as you said before I am Destiny Wolfbane."
          " So ready for some dinner. It starts in 10 minutes?"
          " Yeah just let me unpack shouldn't take me long."
          I finally finished unpacking hence a backpack, a duffle bag, and the suitcase. Took only about 20 minutes. We started to walk down to the dining hall and quickly started to grab our food. Well I didn't buy they did. Chloe and Red looked confused.
          " You're not going to eat?"
          " No I'm just not hungry at the moment. And honestly don't want to know what they are serving. And where I'm from my mother would only complain about my eating habits so I try not to eat so often." I laughed but Red and Chloe looked concerned.
          " Well how about you try to eat this fruit cup and drink this juice."
          " Don't worry about me. Besides you got it so eat it I'll be fine."
          

   Red's POV

    " Chloe do you think Destiny needs help?"
    " What do you mean by that?"
    " Well from what she said about her and eating. Also what mother would say that to a child?"
    " Well I feel the same way too. Also where is she anyway?"
     " Maybe we should go and find her."
     They looked everywhere for her and finally found her on the field with a sword and a dummy. Watching her she was amazing and I could tell Chloe was too. Her movements was flawless and perfect not ever missing a step off. Me and Chloe watched from the bleachers. After she was done she took her sword and it vanished. Yeah me and Chloe were stunned.
     She makes her way to where her water bottle is. And takes a long drink. She spots us and froze. Before she could dart off we got down from the bleachers and I was the first one to beem.
     " That was amazing Destiny. Could you teach us some moves?"
     " Yeah that was incredible. Can you be my teacher too?"
     No words came out of her mouth just silence. Something was wrong and if both of us could get closer to her maybe she wouldn't carry this burden that she holds on too. Something clicked in her eyes and before we knew it she was crying.
      Chloe was the first one to hug her.
       " What wrong. Not only are we roommates but we are friends. What's on your mind sweetpea?"
       " If I told you what's in my head you'd run away and I don't think we should be friends. I'm too much to handle. I carry a weight on my shoulders. And honestly I..."
        She runs off faster than anyone I've ever seen.
        " Chloe it's okay we are getting to her little by little. When she is ready she will open up just give her time and some space."
       
Chloe's POV

         I'm worried about her. What she had to go through. And how heavy the weight is. Red's right we should give her time. And we will be ready to help her face her demons when she ready for the help. We go back to the dorm and relax for a bit. I take a shower to reduce some of the stress. When I got out red was deep in thought.
         " You okay Red?"
         " Just worried about Destiny she hasn't been back yet."
         " She'll be back just give her time. Hey I have a question for you? And you can call me stupid but I was wondering if you..."
          The door opens and we finally see Destiny. She is bruised and has a few cuts on her. My eyes widen quick to grab her. I started to hug her.
        " Are you okay?"
        I looked at Red and she nodded. As if to say 'on it'.
        " Come on sweetpea let's sit you down and get this taken care of. What happened."
         " I lost to a tree. It ended falling on me." I sighed
         Okay today was not expected.
