"Will I be Happy?"

My breath hitched as the car swung low on the cliff.  My heart started pounding as the car sung dangerously close to the water below.I snatched my arms off the wheel shifting my body backwards further into my seat. Looking sideways I stifled a cry at my unconscious  mother,blood dripping down her forehead and her head pressed up against the cracked rear view mirror  , cautiously I reached  my arm out and started to shake her shoulder.

"Mum" 

"Mum!"

"Mum wake up!" I yelled in distress. 

"oh my God, Mum .... Mum" I cried 

With one last shake I gave up... She's dead. Tears ran down my cheeks, as I gazed at my loving mother of 22 years. I didn't even get to say goodbye I thought. All these years of that I had to struggle to keep her alive and she's dead. A sharp gasp came out of my mouth as the car suddenly tilted shocking me out of my memories. This time the branch that had kept the cracked rear view mirror shut snapped and I could only watch in horror as my mother's body fell and dropped into the water below, along with the shattered pieces of glass. 

My eyes widened and my mouth fell open I couldn't believe what had just happened.

"Mum" I whispered 

"Mum ....NO!... Mum" I yelled frustrated. why is this happening? My sobs grew uncontrollable, My mother's lifeless body dropping into the water  kept replaying in my head, the guilt that I didn't do enough to save her. Covering my face with my hands I trembled in the fear that I too like my Mother would die and there was nobody here to save me. 

The cold wind nipped at my skin and the car swung shifted closer to the water below reminding me of my fate. I couldn't believe I was going to die like this, as I looked back on my life I realised that I hadn't had a chance to live. I couldn't live because of my mother's debt. Stopping my cries I took my hands away from my face and gulped. I needed to live I thought. My eyes darted around, my head filled with only thoughts of survival. Reaching into the space beside me I shifted my body closer to the dashboard, heart pounding. Careful not to shake the car I opened the dashboard and stuck my hands inside.

Instantly I was met with the feel of cold metal. My cellphone I thought. Grasping the cold object I yanked it out. Excitement over took me as my fingers scrambled to switch it on. As soon as I switched it on the familiar ring tone rang out loud in the silence. My head creased in confusion, the number said unknown. Hesitantly I answered raising the phone to my ear...

"Hello" My voice cracked from crying

"So your still alive?" A female voice rang out mockingly

My heart stilled as I instantly understood the situation 

"YOU-" I started 

" I told you didn't I " The female voice cut me off "I told you that if you didn't agree I would make you regret it"

"You killed my mum!" I shouted "She's dead, she didn't do anything" Tears started to gather in my eyes as I stared down at the water below me where my mother's body had fell. Laughing on the other line made my eyes narrow, grief forgotten.

"You Bitch!" I yelled 

" You killed your mother" The female voice taunted "If you had agreed to what I had said I wouldn't have to kill you to keep it a secret" She signed " It's such a shame, it was difficult finding you"

I inhaled stressed and tired "what do you want?" I asked 

"Are you going to agree or do I have to kill you" She replied, when I didn't reply she breathed a cruel laugh "I'll give you 10 minutes, call me back when you have made a decision" She said before hanging up. 

The phone dropped from my ear to my lap, my mind whirring with the decision I had to make. Picking up my phone I pressed record. Gulping I started.

"Hi, if  you're watching this, you have either found it and you are probably the police. If you haven't already found one there is a body in the water" I paused before continuing 

"She is my mother. I am still alive, my name is Jade and I don't know who but someone is blackmailing me. She said her name is Esther." I squeal as the car shifts further down the cliff, I'm almost out of time."Find me !" I yell " She wants me to become Anna but you have to find me and stop me!" I beg "Please!" 

Stopping the video I save it staring at the frightened girl in the screen. Going to my call history I press call back on my last call, she answered instantly. 

"I'll do it" I yell tears streaming down my face as the car nears the water "I'll do it, just save me!"

"I knew it" She chuckled " Oh and I lied before for this plan to work..... Jade has to die" She said

I gasped as the car suddenly lurched forward off the cliff and into the ice cold water my body numb. I struggled in the water, clawing at my throat I struggled to breathe as I began chocking on water. My fingers tingled as I felt my vision fading then nothing.
