Chapter 4

Karkat POV

Kankri is being a pain in the ass, why does he keep leaving? Not to mention being gone for HOURS! Ugh, he never tells me anything and its so damn annoying. Karkat sighed and ran his fingers through his hair and paced around.
The front door knob turned and Kankri entered greeting Karkat "Hello kar-" "Don't 'hello karkat' me, where in gods name are you always doing?! You're always gone for so fucking long and don't even have to courtesy to tell me where you go!" I snapped, I never been like this with him and guilt was consuming me but, I brushed it off.

Kankri POV

I froze in my steps, shocked and afriad from his outburst of anger. He was right, though, I would be the same if Karkat left for long periods of time without telling me where he goes. "Well," I don't even know how to begin telling him about Cronus.

"I had came across this- creature a few days ago, and I have been seeing him ever since..." I avoided eye contact as much as possible "A creature? That's ridiculous, what did you see huh? A mermaid?" He said in a rather mocking tone "Yes! Well, no, a merMAN" I corrected him. "This whole damn time you were out for hours seeing a fucking 'merman'? COME ON Kankri, you can't lie for shit." Lying? Does he really think I just made this up? "I'll prove it" he looked at me questionly "Tomorrow I shall take you to him and prove you wrong, it also offends me at the facKarkatlieve I fibbed" I said in a harsh tone.

3rd POV

Kankri rushed to his room leaving Karkat a bit taken back. He never EVER talks to Karkat in such a tone but he was getting worked up. Karkats guilt was taking over him now, he wanted to apologize, he really did but he just couldn't believe him, I mean a merman. Really? Wouldn't you be in disbelief after hearing your brother saying he's been leaving the house to see a merman? But he was interested on seeing if he's really telling the honest truth, maybe he is. What if its a big creepy weird slimy beast that like befriended Kankri? It probably is. Gross.

Jesus finally, I actually updated after like 100000 years. Sorry bout that tho, anyways I'm aware this is short just because I can't think on how I can continue it. Hopefully the next chapter is longer. Kbai
