The butterflies went away from her stomach so fast, just to be attacked with a knife through her heart.

She'd start to have fallen in love with this guy, she was happy when she was with him, she felt different, like herself almost, then the words that came from his mouth, got her happy, and then felt murderous.

"I like you, alot. Like you're a great friend, and we get on great, but I like you more than a friend. But the only thing is. I have a girlfriend." said Brandon, he looked Emma straight in her eyes, and she could tell that this was no joking matter, he was serious. He wasn't lieing. Emma turned around and her back was towards Brandon, and he moves around, and he says -

"Please, don't be upset or anything. I didn't mean to make you upset, just thought, I should be honest."

Emma turned her head and lifted it back up with her eyes starting to water, and just quickly says

"No, it's fine, I'm not upset at all."

She turns around and says "It's fine, I have to go." She walks away, and that moment, he's standing in the hallway, she goes down the hall, and the school bell rings.

Schools out. For Summer.

~~ *2 months later*~~

Rebecca walks through the halls of school, that first day back. Friends on each of her arms, headphone in one ear, and laughing while walking to the spot where her and her friends always hang out. She turns around the concrete corner, and walks down the steps, to stop on the second step. He's there, just standing, and a girl sitting down, both laughing. Her heart started to drop a little bit, but then she looked at him, and their eyes locked, for a second or two, but she looked away, her arm got tugged, she snapped back into reality. Walking down the last few steps, inside her heas is a massive daze, she turned and sat down, and her friends started to get back her back to normal, she started talking about how she was feeling and how he was there and everything else, and then they changed the subject to how there Summer was.

The school bell rang, she stood up again, turned and this time he was standing right behind where she was sitting.

"Woah. Where you like there the whole time?" said Rebecca, with a state of shock on her face, but a small smile showing.

"Umm... No." said Drew with so much saracasim in his voice it wasn't even funny how you could tell it.

"Oh, sure. Okay, then. Bye." Rebecca says quickly, as it gets super awkward, super fast.

" Hey, can we hang at lunch or something?" Drew said, stopping her while she's trying to run away.

They look at each other, Drew shows a smile, at that moment Rebecca fakes one. One of Rebecca's friends grabbed her arm as she was going to say something to Drew, and pulled her away. They walked up the stairs, and another, and another. She felt like the stairs would never end, even as fast as she was going. She stopped when she got to the top, looked down at this folded piece of paper which had her classes on it, she lifted her head slightly, and saw him walking up the stairs. As fast as she saw him, she crumpled the piece of paper in her hand, put it in her purse, and turned, and walked for yet again another flight of stairs, wondering the hallways for the Drama classroom, her next class. She walks into the class, drops her purse, and turns and her face instantly lights up. All her friends were in the class, she started to smile again, and it stayed. She went to the back of the class, quickly grabbed a chair, sat down, placed it by her friends and hugged a couple.

Smile on her face; *thats a new one.*

That drama class was just relaxing, smiling, watching a movie, sitting on the couches, laughing, and did I mention, she was still smiling? She was, she was happy, actually, really, full-on happy. She got up from the couch, went to her bag, bent down, and grabbed her phone, she checked it, and her smile dissapeared for a second, she dropped the bag and walked back over to the couch, slumped back on, got her feet, and instantly went into fetal position. Her friends were laughing their heads off from the movie until one, turned and saw her staring at her phone, with a blank stare on her face, just blank. Her friend Ariana turned her head, got off the floor, and sat right beside her, and just took Rebecca's phone out of her hands.
