It was April 11th, and I was excited! It was my first voyage and everything and everyone was busy. Crew members were busy preparing to set out, and passengers were boarding the ship at our last stop, Queenstown Ireland, and the ship was bustling.
I should probably introduce myself! My name is Ashley Thomlinson, or that's what I named myself. You see, I'm actually a soul. The soup of the Titanic. This ship is pretty much my home, considering I am technically the ship itself.
Since this is my first voyage, I am curious about how the ship runs, so I am currently exploring the Boiler Rooms. The place was busy, and hot too! I watched the crew shoveling coal into the boilers. I was appearing as a ghost. It was one of my abilities that I possess I found.
I had already met one of the Leading Firemen, Fredrick Barrett. I had come upon him by accident, actually. I was exploring the lower parts of the ship as a human girl when he caught me near the entrance to one of the boiler rooms. It was strange and sudden, I was so surprised that I had unconsciously disappeared for a moment before reappearing again.
I think I had scared him a little, but I had apologized and introduced myself. I, of course, had to explain what I was, but he accepted it quite well.
All of a sudden, an alarm rang. It was time to set off!
I disappeared from the boiler room and reappeared on the Boat Deck by the Wheelhouse in my human form. I chose to appear in a white dress, with a white ribbon tied in my blond hair. Though I chose to appear barefoot.I was looking out at the crowd waving us off when I heard "Take her to sea Mr. Murdoch." "Yes, sir." I turned to the sound of the voices and saw First Officer Murdoch. I haven't met him yet, but I knew his name, and I guess I was too occupied with the crowd to notice because he was currently looking right at me.
