Prologue
Jay Halstead the well known detective in Chicago and his wife Kayla Halstead who is a paediatrician over at Chicago med have been married for 6 years now and are parents to two loving children a toddler and a 3 month old baby!

Backstory
Kayla and jay have been married for 6 years now and they are living there dream life! When Kayla started her job at med she was nervous she wouldn't meet any friends as she wasn't from Chicago and is originally from Utah! But after her first day she was already close with both of the Halstead brothers!
Will was one of the doctors that welcomed her with open arms! Whenever he had the chance he would check on her up in peds and when she was working the ED shift he made sure she knew where everything was! Jay on the other hand she met on a not so nice note him and his partner Erin Lindsay brought in a young girl who was a part of human trafficking! And she quickly became Kayla's patient as she was the only one available! She did everything that she needed to do and once the girl was comfortable in her room her and jay were able to talk and he then invited her out for drinks after shift which Kayla obviously accepted as she needed to meet some people! When she went to the bar she met all of jays co workers the rest of the ones from med! And a few fire fighters and paramedics! And now 8 years later she knows them all and are close with everyone!!
The pair got married 4 years after dating and it was the most picture perfect day! And then a year later she was pregnant with her first baby her son Roman! And it was almost like a sign that they were on the right track! Roman healed the pair in ways they didn't know needed to be healed! He was everything they ever dreamt of and now they are parents to two!!
