3 - Preparations

-Third person POV

The sports festival was comping up. Everyone were getting ready. Practicing their physical strength, their quirks, and so on. Y/N would usually hang out with friends and practice their quirks together. The date of the festival was closing in after each day. Each hour. Each minute. The students were waiting in excitement as the days pass.

Y/N was hanging out with Mina and Uraraka and Mina outside. Enjoying a little Cafe. Uraraka was happily munching on some pastries as Mina was happily talking about some stories. Y/N was listening intently until her phone buzzed. She picked up the phone and looks down at it.

I know it's a lot of stories using she/her, sorry.😞 if anyone wants another story with other pronouns, please tell :)

It came from you and your friends gc. In the gc were Bakugo, Denki, Kirishima, Sero, Mina and you, of course!

Denki: Anyone wanna train?

Y/N: Can't! Out with friends! Sorry Kami :((

Denki: AWH.. @Hanta_Sero, join me?

Sero: SURE!!!

Denki: YAEY! MEET ME AT MY HOUSE IN 10

Sero sends a thumbs up emoji. Y/N smiles and puts her phone away. Turning back to Mina and Uraraka. The conversation shifted to Mina whining about the sports festival

"IM SO NERVOUS! What if i get a super duper strong opponent or something???" Mina laid her forehead down against the table

"Well.. didn't you say we just have to try our best?" Y/N chuckles quietly

"Cause we do! Just.. I can still worry, you know!" Mina sighs

"Yeah yeah, you can. But even if we get far or not, we can lose knowing we tried our bests!" Uraraka smiles. Mina nods

"Trueee.." Mina sat back up

"Plus, I've heard some of the invited teens joining might be cute~" Uraraka giggles

"Ooh, really?" Y/N tilts her head

"Yuuppp!!" Uraraka nods

"Okayyy, that's a bit exciting then!" Mina smiles

Y/N starts to think. Yeah, maybe some of them could be cute. But she couldn't let that get in the way of victory. But even if she did lose.. then she'd have some more exciting things to watch ifykyk

"Ooh, how is it going with you and Izuku?" Mina suddenly asks Uraraka. Uraraka's face flushed red and she smacked her hands on her face. Hiding

"D-DON'T JUST SAY THAT!!" Uraraka mumbled

"Oopsies!" Mina giggles

"But how is it tho?" Y/N asks

Uraraka sighs and speaks up after a few moments of embarrassment

"He's soooo dense. I don't even wanna be rude, but he just doesn't get the hint!" Uraraka whined

"Well.. maybe you just have to be a bit more straight forwards about it?" Y/N puts a hand on her chin

"NOPE! NO WAY!" Uraraka shakes her head

The three girls bicker for a while, joking around and teasing each other. They walk out of the Cafe and took a walk around the city. After walking around, they head back to their dorms. Separating ways.

Y/N POV!!

I fell back onto my bed with a big sigh. Turning to my side whilst turning on my phone. I check my Insta. Seeing Denki's new story. A picture of him tangled up in Sero's tape. "Cute" I think to myself and like the story. I rolled onto my back. Thinking.

"The sports festival is coming up soon.. I'm more worried about the 1v1 part. If I even get that far." I think to myself and look down at my hand.

Our quirk: Earth bending. This doesn't only work on earth and rocks specifically. Just any floor or flat surface.

I clenched my fist together. My confidence can't waver now. I have to remain determined. I have to win. Or.. try. I stare up at the ceiling. Imagining the opponents I'll meet. The pressure of being watched by thousands of people live, and millions from all over the world on TV... jeez. That's a lot..

As night dawns over the city, I feel myself getting sleepy. I put my phone on the white nightstand next to my bed. I turn to face the wall and close my eyes. Thinking of the journey that awaits me tomorrow. One thing sti lingering on my mind. That damn festival.. damn it! I twist and turn in my bed for a while. Before I reluctantly fall asleep.
