Emilee has Daniel Bueller wrapped around her finger, or at least she did until Nicole Patterson came along. Emilee was a shoe-in for Homecoming Queen until Nicole waltz in. Now Emilee had to try and get her crown, her man, and her popularity back.
All the while, she is being filmed for a documentary entitled 'The Popularity Project'. A geeky yet handsome boy named Luke James is shooting it for a contest, and has chosen to follow/film Emilee Riley as his subject. After all, she is (or was!) the most popular girl in school.
