Uzi and Belleivora were sisters, daughters of Khan and Nori Doorman. They lost their mother at a very young age, their father never let them stay home too long so today they were going with him to check something out in one of the older Colonys they called the space ship.

"Come on, slowpoke!" Uzi called out, her voice echoing down the narrow corridor of the ancient spaceship.

Her sister, Belleivora, was always lagging behind, her curiosity getting the better of her as she stopped to examine every rusty bolt and mysterious panel. Uzi rolled her eyes, her hair bobbing as she did so. At six years old, she was already the more adventurous of the two.

Their father's footsteps grew fainter as he ventured further into the bowels of the ship, his voice a distant murmur as he spoke into his communicator. They were on a mission to check on a strange reading coming from the lower decks, but Uzi and Belleivora had their own mission: exploration.

The air was stale, the floor cold beneath their small feet as they padded along. The ship groaned around them, a gentle reminder of its age and the vast emptiness of snow outside. It had been their home for as long as they could remember, a museum of forgotten technology that their father hoped to one day revive to help in the fight against the Murder Drones.

They turned a corner and found themselves in a chamber that looked like it hadn't been disturbed in centuries. Dust particles danced in the beam of light that shone through a crack in the ceiling. The walls were lined with rows of dormant pods, their glass surfaces foggy with time.

Belleivora's eyes widened in wonder, and she reached out to touch one. "What are these, Uzi?" she asked, her voice filled with awe.

Uzi shrugged. "Probably where they used to keep people who were tired of flying," she joked.

As they ventured deeper, the pods grew larger and more complex, some with what looked like control panels and screens. Uzi's curiosity grew stronger with every step. She stepped closer to one, her tiny hand hovering over a button.

"Don't touch that!" Belleivora warned, but it was too late. The pod's lid began to hiss open, revealing a mechanical monster within. A Bot, one of the ship's long-dormant maintenance bots, had been awakened from its slumber. It unfolded from the pod, its eyes glowing a menacing red they'd never seen anything like this. They'd only heard of the yellow eyed Disassembly drones.

Uzi's heart raced as she grabbed Belleivora's hand and sprinted back the way they came. The drone's movements were sluggish at first, but as it gained speed, so did their terror.

They could hear the clanking of its metal body getting closer. The corridor grew narrower, and Uzi's grip on her sister's hand tightened.

Suddenly, the drone lunged forward, wrapping its tail around Belleivora's neck. Uzi tried to pull her free, but it was too strong. Panic clouded her vision as the drone raised its claws, ready to rip her sister apart.

But then, something strange happened. The drone paused, its cold, mechanical gaze meeting Belleivora's wide, terrified eyes. For a moment, something akin to pity flickered in the depths of its electronic pupils. It retracted its claws and lifted her into the air, holding her gently.

Uzi took this chance to flee, her heart in her throat. She didn't stop running until she was out of the drone's sight, her breath ragged and her legs trembling.

In the quiet that followed, she realized that Belleivora wasn't with her. She'd assumed her sister was right behind her, but the cold truth hit her like a meteor shower. The drone had taken her.

Tears streamed down Uzi's visor as she leaned against the cold, metallic wall. The drone had felt something, she was sure of it. But what was it planning to do with Belleivora? And how would she ever find her in the labyrinthine corridors of the ship?
