The air was tense after Damon's words to his brother, though only Elena, Stefan and Bonnie were feeling tense.

Elena had disappeared into the kitchen to do the dishes, wanting to just be from whatever that was. She wonders if she's a rebound but smashed that thought in a second.

She's Elena Gilbert, a found family and a perfect role model. Why would she of all people be used as a rebound?

While she was in the kitchen, the oldest Salvatore saw this as the perfect chance to do more damage.

And of course his new friends- who had seemed to tuned into family- though he hasn't noticed yet- are in on his plan. He was given a now empty cup by Caroline, she knew he wanted to 'chat' with Elena ans she gave him a reason to go into the kitchen.

Plus she was also comfortable and didn't feel like getting up, so it is a win win for her.

Damon smiles at her before gets up and starts heading towards the kitchen. And while he walks by Stefan, he gave him a smirk and nearly snorts at the glare that was thrown his way.

So uptight, Damon thinks.

Caroline looks towards Beverly and the Gilbert boy, instantly striking up an nice conversation with the two. Bonnie tried to insert herself into, Stefan as well but they went ignored.

As if they weren't even there.

It annoyed them both. Bonnie hated the way that Beverly was now. The girl had always tried hanging out with her or she would make her food but all that seemed to stop. It wasn't fair to her. She's never been close to Jeremy but tried to for the sake of Elena. It never really happened though because the boy just didn't seem to like her for some reason.

She still wanted to try though.

For Elena's sake.

The older darker teen was also pissed at Caroline. The girl had randomly stopped being their friend, surrounding herself with other people. They were never once left out by the blonde and it was a weird thing to experience honestly.

Stefan was annoyed because he couldn't befriend Elena's brother or atleast try to do so since he wasn't even being given a chance.

He truly had no idea what the boy held against him.

Damon sits at the counter, helping Elena with the towels. "Earlier, did you mean Katherine?" Elena asks and the man had to bite back a smirk.

He's been waiting for it. Hoping that she would bring it up honestly. This is going to be so much fun, he thinks while giving the teen that was eying him a nod of his head. "Mhm," he hums out softly.

Out of the corner of his eye, he can see the cogs turning into the girl's head, her lips pursed.

Oh how Damon loves drama. Especially when he's the one starting it.
