SEPTEMBER 20: Whatever is discussed this night is nobody's business but Wonwoo, Joshua, and their alfredo.OCTOBER 3: Seungcheol treats Jeonghan to a night out in celebration of his birthday.
SEPTEMBER 20, WEDNESDAY, 18:58. PAST.
In some apartment on one of the top floors in the building is a man with a big heart, and another who feels he is losing himself more and more every minute.
The state of the kitchen is a mess from all the cooking, but the smells and look of the food makes it completely worth it. Wonwoo concentrates intently as he scoops out the chicken alfredo between two bowls as Joshua waits for the deliciously dirtied pan to be free so he can put it in the dishwasher. However, after only a couple seconds his mind drifts elsewhere, dancing between random thoughts adorned by glimpses of the previous night he has shared with Jeonghan.
"–shua."
"Huh?"
Wonwoo stares at him blankly. "You're thinking about sex."
"I-I am not!" Joshua exclaims, but his growing blush does not go unnoticed by the other.
"Glazed over eyes, slightly pink cheeks, slack jaw three seconds away from drooling, random nervous gulps... Yeah, it seems I know you a bit better than you think I do."
Joshua quickly fans his face when Wonwoo turns away to set the dirty pan in the sink.
"I don't blame you, buddy," Wonwoo calls out from behind. Joshua can almost hear the smirk, "If I had a consistent sex life, I'd be daydreaming left and right."
"Well, you could if you would just open your damn eyes." Joshua mumbles to himself.
"Hm?" Wonwoo questions curiously.
"Oh, just wondering if that's a hint of loneliness I'm hearing, Wonwoo? If you'd like, I could set you up with someone?" Yeah, a six-foot brunette who, despite first appearances, is as delicate and spineless as a pretty jellyfish.
Wonwoo chuckles and hands Joshua this time a pot to put in the dishwasher, "No, I can't be dating right now."
"Why not? We have a sick-ass paycheck and you're gonna take over your family's resort someday." Joshua flinches when Wonwoo shoots him an icy glare. "O-Or not, still figuring that one out, of course." He adds sweetly, "But I'm just saying, maybe it's time to put yourself out there. Who knows, there could be someone perfect right there in front of you who could get snatched away before you even realize."
"Yeah? Well, then you'll be the first to know if anyone 'perfect' comes my way." Wonwoo says rather indifferently.
Joshua rolls his eyes. Speaking of... "Anyway, what's Mingyu up to tonight? Haven't seen him in a while, I was hoping he'd cook with us. Hannie tells me he's become quite the chef."
Wonwoo straightens up and takes his time pulling out two forks from the silverware drawer before replying, "Yeah, he used to cook a lot when he was younger. Also, do you see this place?" He asks, and Joshua looks around the apartment.
"I mean, it looks just as clean as ever."
"Exactly." Says Wonwoo, "But I haven't cleaned in forever, haven't had to!"
"Awwww," Joshua coos, "What's wrong? You're scared Mingyu's growing up and won't need you anymore?"
Wonwoo does not answer and brings the plates of food to the dining table. "He's been a bit distant, too. Like, I didn't even know he was going out tonight until he was halfway out the door. I think he's on a date, but he kept denying it."
