It was a suffocating silence, heavy with uncertainty and hopelessness, like a dark cloud that hung over Taehyung's head. Every moment felt like a lifetime as he knelt beside his father, the cold concrete hard beneath them-another bleak reminder of the cruel reality they had been trapped in. Taehyung could still hear the echoing laughter of Jungkook that mockingly despised their desperation cruelly, and he knew the air had grown thick with dread as he frantically scanned Mr. Park's figure for any sign of life.

"Please, Dad, don't leave me," Taehyung begged tearfully as fear and anguish were mixed into his voice. He grasped his dad's shoulders and shook him lightly, wanting desperately to hear some form of response. Each second stretched painfully while the beat of his heart echoed louder in his ears as his panic clawed at his insides. He could feel everything around him start to disintegrate, drift off into a pit of despair.

He whispered, "Don't leave me." And the tears just streamed down his face, hot and uncontrollable, as he battled the lump rising in his throat, the awful urge to let out a scream and weep unmitigated tears at this sense of overwhelming loss which came pouring over him.

Taehyung took a deep breath; he tried to still himself; his hands were shaking as he checked for a pulse, the fear tightening his chest. Feeling the faint rhythm beneath his fingertips. Relief streamed over him like a wave, but it soon gave way to urgency. He needed to get out of there-needed to save his father.

"Wait, Dad," he whispered, his voice more steady now as he braced himself. Steadying himself over his father's body, he searched for any visible injuries; however, the dim light hid everything. Holding his breath, Taehyung watched as his heart started to hammer away in his chest, his brain juicing up with ideas on how to escape.

He looked around to see if there were any traces of help but could only see darkness. The valley was quiet, silent with an impenetrable silence that felt heavy with doubt. He could barely listen to his breath above the beat of his heart heaving within him with every beat on a cadence that summed up the moment.

Tears welled in his eyes, blurring his vision; but a thought struck his mind---Taehyung at once pulled open his dad's pocket, restless fingers rummaging into the fabric. He was relieved when he found a mobile phone ensconced in a very deep pocket, its screen crackled but operational. Immediately, he dialled an ambulance without any other thoughts being in his mind. His hands trembled as he pressed the numbers.

"Please, please hurry," he pleaded down the phone, his voice rising to desperation. "My father… he is injured." The operator's steady voice relieved him; she told him all was well and help was on its way, but the minutes crept by like hours as he knelt beside his father, the chill of the night seeping into his bones.

Hardly any time passed before the ambulance came, cutting through the alley's eerie silence like a knife. When the flashing lights appeared in the distance, Taehyung was swept with relief, though the fear still clung to the edges of his mind: Would they come in time?

He went to the side for the paramedics who finally came, his heavy heart sinking further with worry. They quickly reassessed his dad, working with practiced efficiency. Taehyung could watch in tension, as they strapped his dad onto a stretcher and worked to ease the pain of their faces with seriousness yet focus.

"Is he going to be okay?" Taehyung asked in a hushed whisper, the question hanging in the air like a fragile thread. One of the paramedics glanced his way, nodding reassuringly as he continued to check his father's vitals.

"We're doing everything we can," she said softly, her voice soothing as if she could feel the storm inside him. "Just stay calm, okay?"

He followed as they put his father inside the ambulance. Taehyung got in with him, to stay by his father's side. As Taehyung entered the back, the doors slammed shut. Closing felt final like the echoing of his fears. The ambulance sped through dark streets lights flickering brightly against the night sky, lighting up the way to the hospital. With much trepidation, Taehyung clutched his father's hand tightly, whispering words of comfort, promising that everything would be just all right, even as the worst doubts intruded into his mind. Whatever happened, he wouldn't let go. The rhythmic siren of the ambulance pierced through the dense silence of night, but the turmoil in his mind seemed nothing short of a turbulent sea.
