Lily

First day of school

She grew up within her castle walls. Now and then, she tried to run

I checked myself in the mirror one more time and dragged my skirt a bit so it won't be too short.

I blew a kiss at my reflection. "Always beautiful," I smile.

I was applying my eyeshadow when my mum called me to come down.

"I'm coming, mum." I run downstairs with my bag "Sorry"

As I entered the car, I greeted the driver, smiled at my brother, and tried looking at who he was texting, and I was sure I saw Sasha. I wiggled my eyebrows at him and started singing, "Sasha and Alex sitting on the tree k-i-s-s-i-n-g." he just rolled his eyes. I spent the whole ride to school teasing him.

"Hey Tommy,"  I waved at the guy I sat with in history.

"Hi there ..." He always forgets me.

"Lily, history girl," I tell for the 100th time, no biggy

"Oh yeah. how was your summer? " he asked, walking to his locker

"Horrible, but ok," I shrugged. "What about you?" i asked when we finally reached his locker.

"Sorry about your horrible summer, but mine was amazing. I got a girlfriend, "  he said

And there goes my crush.

"That's nice lucky you." I smiled at him.

"Come on, history girl, let's go to your locker." I wasn't expecting him to say that, so I smiled more.

"What are you so excited about?" oh Lord he caught me.

"Nothing. Nothing, " I said

"Did you see your crush?" he wiggled his eyebrows as I opened my locker. I glared at him.

"Who can tell the class the formula for velocity?" Mr Greg, our physics teacher, asked. "It's simple come on anyone. For God's sake, this is SS2, " he yelled.

Everyone remained silent.

"Lily, I'm sure you would like to share what you are drawing with the class or tell us the answer," he asked me

"Me?" I said covering my sketch book "I mean no, sorry, yeah, no, yes, like not no, no, as in yes no, i mean no, yes, i mean yes, would you.... fudge, " I stammered.

I could hear students giggling. I got nervous, so I started tapping my desk loudly.

"The answer if you may," he asked again.

Since my sweater was oversized, the arms were practically covering mine, so I played with the tip looking down.

"Velocity is erm.... um...V = d/t meaning distance divided by time, " I said."Or maybe the other way, " I whispered

"Sorry, i didn't catch that."

"Oh, nothing, sir. Just a monologue. " I sat immediately

I was sitting in the basketball court drawing anime.

"Hello," someone said

I closed my book and looked up. wow.

"Who are you?" Tony asked. How do I know his name? Well, that's because he is my biggest crush.

"Linda... Louis.. Lily, " I said, now standing.

"Ok, linda Louis Lily," he said with confusion.

"No, just lily," I said, smiling

"Why not Linda or Louis?" Travis, another hot boy, asked

"No, my name is Lily Adams.  Slip of the tongue. "
