"You look nice," I told him when he started driving away.
"Thanks, you look nice too, you kind of looked tired but still fine, you good?" he glances over at me from time to time as he tries focusing his eyes on the road. I smiled and nodded.
"Buti pala naalala mo 'yung binigay mong flowers, 'di na rin kasi ako babalik sa bahay mamaya." I said and eyed the flowers he gave sitting on my lap.
"It looks beautiful, 'no?" I smiled at myself and nodded as I stared at the flowers.
"They are."
"Aren't you scared to be seen in public with me?" dahil do'n ay tinignan ko siya, he has his one hand on his side and the other one maneuvers the wheel.
"I am not, ikaw?" natawa ako ng mahina when he nodded as he smiled widely.
"We're just gonna have dinner, that's all, right?" I nodded.
"Right, that's your plan naman, 'di ba?" he shrugged and then gave me that kind of smile.
"Stop!" I joked and then laughed loudly.
"I mean, nagpaalam naman ako na ituturing ko 'tong first date." he then wiggled his eyebrows making me laugh even more.
"Sinasabi ko na nga ba naisahan mo 'ko," he shake his head aggressively.
"Uy, hindi ah! 'Yun lang naman tingin ko, but we can look at this dinner as just a simple dinner between two friends."
"Oh, yup, tama, we are friends." tumango-tango pa siya and then glanced over at me.
"Friends," he agreed, making me smile more.
"Is it considered a date if there are flowers involved?" natawa siya ng malakas at tumango.
"I think so," he answered and then winked at me, making me smile.
He started telling me what happened at their work habang nasa byahe kami.
It didn't take long when we arrived at the restaurant he chose for tonight's dinner, wala naman masyadong tao and it looked like only a few people went here, the ambiance screams as an expensive restaurant, napatitig ako.
"You don't like it here?" I bite my tongue and look at him, kakapatay niya lang ng engine and he's staring at me, watching me carefully.
"Hindi naman sa ganon," I stumbled and cleared my throat, paano ko ba sasabihin?
"It's okay if you don't like it here, is it too crowded? We can change location if you want," maingat na sabi niya and he didn't take his eyes off me.
"Hindi naman, an lang, magkano ba dito?" his lips parted and he seriously stared at me, seryoso ko rin siyang tinitigan at inantay na sagutin ako.
"Does it matter? Ayaw mo ba sa mamahalin?" he looks so worried right now kaya nginitian ko siya.
"Do you wanna eat here?" he nodded slowly.
"I think so? Masarap naman daw dito and semi private na lugar naman?"
"Okay," I said and breathed out, nag-smile ako sa kanya and then nodded at him once more, dahan dahan din siyang tumango habang pinagmamasdan ako.
He licked his lips, removed his seatbelt, and then opened his door, I sighed and then looked at the place again, and nodded, it's fine.
I opened the car door and saw him standing in front, I smiled at him when he gave me one and then accepted his hand, iniwan ko na lang ang flowers sa kotse, and then walked with him to the place.
It's like a very nice restaurant location, the restaurant looks like it is hidden inside the end of the tunnel kasi gano'n pinasukan namin kanina, and then the whole place is surrounded with a grass floor, may mga puno rin sa paligid and then the restaurant is located at the center of the place, and then both sides of it are for parking.
