When that realization dawned on Lisa out of nowhere, she was pulled out of her reverie unceremoniously.

Startled, she had to double take for a moment and blink for a few times. She had no idea how all those thoughts went down to that certain conclusion. Only when she zeroed in on it did she realize that she claimed something preposterous–her being in love can only be preposterous.

'Me? Fall for someone? That can't be serious. I'd been playing around with different women for a long time. I can't seriously be the one falling now...' Lisa thought and grimaced before turning to look at Jennie.

'But then again, what do I know? Love used to be a non-existent word in my vocabulary, so I went ahead and made my own meaning of it. Flirting around, using others, and breaking heartsfalling in love will only be some sort of payback to a girl like me.'

She then recalled what she told her earlier–about how she will be able to know that she is in love with someone, that is. She said that she would be the only one who figure it out. And now that she's thinking about all these things, she realizes that she might have already figured it out. She's aware that these feelings had always been there within her, but she never paid attention to them for she didn't know what they meant.

And it's a little bit scary.

Just like the darkness as well as the unknown that she fears so much, these incomprehensible and intelligible emotions of hers are frightening–not only does she not know how deep it goes on, but she also doesn't know just how far she will be willing to go for her.

All she is certain of is that she wants to protect her and make her smile.

"Lalisa Manoban, you've been zoning out for a while now..." Jennie chimed in all of the sudden, making Lisa snap out of her thoughts.

"Is there something wrong?"

"Well, uhh... No, there's nothing-"

Then, she froze.

At that very second, she recalls that she is in her cami top. But then, it's already too late for her as she already catches sight of how that low-cut garment exposes much of the hollow of her chest. She ends up blushing furiously right then. Then comes the struggle to gather all of her remaining will power to keep herself from staring too much.

'Goodness! I had already seen half-naked women before! Many times even! Why am I being embarrassed now?! And if anything, she's the one who should be embarrassed between the two of us! Is she that dense?!' Lisa exclaimed inside her head, already breaking down in a mental panic.

"Umm... Hey, can I borrow your jacket now...?" Jennie asked a little timidly and chose to ignore how she started acting all bashful out of nowhere.

"Even in my camisole, it's still cold in here."

"Oh, sure. Of course, you can."

She tried to pull herself together–she seriously had to man-up. There's really nothing about thus that she should make a bug deal about. She feels like she;s being too childish. It's a good thing that she didn't notice that, though. As usual, she's indifferent to those that don't make sense to her.

"Here. Let me," she said as she stripped her suit jacket and scooted closer to her to drape it around her shoulders.

Jennie blushed a little at how Lisa does such a gentlewomanly gesture in all seriousness.

Unlike earlier, she seemed to have regained her calm and cool. She had not even noticed that she leaned down at her when she put it on her–or at least, she did not at first. As soon as she locked eye contact with her, she suddenly went still and fell silent. She appears like she has been knocked out of breath at that moment.
