Kim Prince had always been a star on the field, his sharp instincts and powerful arm making him a natural leader for his hometown football team. Alongside his frat brother and friend, Chris, they had built an unbreakable bond—both as friends and fierce competitors. Together, they dominated the game, each holding the position of quarterback, the heart of their team’s offense.

But things were about to change.

The news hit the sports world like wildfire. Kim and Chris had been transferred to the New York Jets, one of the most prestigious football clubs in the city, known for shaping legendary players and securing championship titles. It was the opportunity of a lifetime for both of them.

As Kim stepped into the spotlight in New York, he couldn’t help but feel the weight of the expectations. It wasn’t just the fans who were watching his every move; the entire country had their eyes on him now. And with Chris by his side, the dynamic between the two quarterbacks was already becoming a headline in itself. Reporters speculated: Who would start? Could the two friends handle the pressure of competing for the same role in such a high-stakes environment?

Both athletes were no strangers to pressure. The New York sports media, however, was relentless. They were all over the news—front-page stories, interviews, debates on sports channels. Everywhere Kim turned, there were murmurs of his and Chris’s every pass, every play, every subtle change in their game. Some pundits called it the perfect storm, two quarterbacks from the same college, frat brothers, back in their city, now thrown into the big leagues together. Others questioned whether their friendship and brotherhood could survive the competition.

But Kim didn’t let the noise get to him. He knew that, on the field, the only thing that mattered was performance. He had trained for this, worked for this. And with Chris by his side, pushing him to be better every day, he felt ready to take on the challenge.

They had been playing for opposite teams back in Washington, now they had transferred to the New York Jets, he knew why. They both missed home, the city where they grew up in. Chris was his friend in DC,  sometimes it felt like they were best friends but he didn't want to take his little brother's best friend. He was already best friends with his brothers husband.

The day of their first joint press conference arrived. Cameras flashed as Kim and Chris stepped onto the stage, both wearing the new jerseys of the New York Jets. Reporters bombarded them with questions about the competition, but Kim was cool under the spotlight. "Chris and I have been playing together and against each other for years," he said with a confident smile. "We push each other to be the best, and that's exactly what we're going to keep doing here."

Chris nodded in agreement. "It’s always been about the team first. We’re here to win, together, I'm happy to actually be playing with Kim, we go way back, it's been seven years."

Yes, we are frat brothers and friends, he had my back in DC, and I had his. We won't be fighting for anything, he can start and I'll gladly finish Kim said smiling.

Hey I want to finish Chris said.

Ssh, the adult is talking Kim said.

Fu..... you are lucky we are on camera but eff you Chris said as they both laughed.

As they walked off the stage, the noise of the media frenzy still swirling around them, Kim glanced at his Chris. In this new chapter of their careers, there was one thing he knew for certain: no matter who started as quarterback, the bond they shared would remain unshaken. In the end, they were both chasing the same dream, and the New York Jets were just the beginning.

I am back, Kim said getting inside Trent's office.

Wasn't your press conference supposed to be long, Trent asked groaning.

Not the welcome back home, I was expecting, especially from my best friend Kim said.

I'm not your best friend, I am Leo's best friend and I'm his best friend Trent said pointing at Wyatt.

Hey, don't get me involved, you were the one who went behind my back and became best friends with him Wyatt said.

I am his brother in law, not a friend Trent said.

You wound me brother, Kim said.

Welcome home, Prince, Trent said hugging Kim. Wyatt joined them.

Thanks, okay so I can't stay at my house, for safety reasons and because, my big brother and his husband have taken it. I wonder why dad tolerates them anyway I need a place to stay Kim said.

Doesn't your club provide you with housing Wyatt asked.

I refused, said I had homes here, Kim said.

You know your ass doesn't have a home, I mean if you are going to stay with Ilay and Liam, good luck, Trent said.

I'm staying at your place, Kim said.

Like hell you are, you used to stay there during your college days and now you want to stay there again, where's your dignity brother Trent asked.

Still cold as always I see, listen buying a place for myself is a hassle and your place is big anyway, I am going to stay there, Kim said.

Dude Trent said.

Aah, Adrian's dude thing rubbed off on you huh, but I really want to stay at your place Kim said.

That's Leon's place now, Trent said.

You gave your older brother that estate, how dare you, and when, Kim said.

When, three months back, how dare I , don't act like my husband, gave it to Leon hell nah, I sold it to him, then bought a new estate, this one is closer to everyone. The place looks just like our old place, difference is this one is closer and only a ten minute drive into the city, Trent said.

It's not in the city Kim asked.

It is, I meant it's closer to.... You know what fuck you. I knew your ass was going to want to stay with us, Trent said.

Of course and you guys are the only ones without kids, Kim said.

I'm glad, Adrian and I have an understanding When it comes to those. I can't be a dad, it's enough I'm an uncle for my siblings kids, and Wyatt's, Trent said.

I hope I don't have any kids, Ilay and Liam's kids are tiring, how old are they again, Kim asked.

Luka is twelve and Fiona is ten, dude Wyatt said.

I forget okay, and if I were to have kids, I need them well behaved, Luka is a menace, Fifi is ight, and now that I am back in my city, we gotta turn up. I have a meeting with my teammates in two hours, and I need to freshen up, but later, we are going out Kim said.

Does your family know you are back Trent asked.

You are my family, Kim said.

I don't count Trent said.

No, but I'm sure they saw the news and they all have a goggle notification on me, I'll just call and text them Kim said.

And your dad, Wyatt asked.

Why am I best friends with you two Kim asked.

Beats me, Trent said.

Fuck you....and dad is okay, he'll be pissed that I didn't tell him but I'm the favorite he can't stay mad at me Kim said.

I'm pretty sure the favorite is his husband, Wyatt said.

Nobody asked for your opinion Wyatt, fuck you Kim said as the laughed.
