CHAPTER NINE ━━━━━━━

SAFETY IN NUMBERS.

AROUND LUNCH TIME, PRINCIPAL HIMBRY CAME ON THE LOUDSPEAKERS TO ANNOUNCE THAT ALL CLASSES WERE NOW CANCELLED, IMMEDIATELY AFTER SHERIFF BURKE HAD ANNOUNCED A WHOLE TOWN CURFEW STARTING THAT NIGHT AT NINE.

Kitty walked with Tatum, Jason and Sidney when Stu came bouncing over. 

"Kizzo-kaskizzo isi is-out," He said in a funny voice, causing Sidney to jump in surprise when he appeared near her, he passed her a small purple flower before handing one over to Tatum and then another one to Kitty, walking backwards and grinning like a Cheshire cat, "I don't know what you did, Sidney, but on the behalf of the entire school body, we all say 'thank you'!" 

Kitty laughed before letting out a surprise squeal when Stu ran over to her and for the second time that day threw her over his shoulder. This time, though, she had seen it coming and gripped her bag strap tighter whilst he made sure to pull her skirt down enough and place his hand in a way that no-one could peek up her skirt.

"I say, impromptu party tonight, at my house," Stu announced, "Celebrate this little siesta. What do you say?"

Jason nodded eagerly, "Hell yeah. I'm in," He reached his hand out to high-five Stu.

Sidney scoffed, "Are you serious?"

Stu patted Kitty's butt, "As long as this little vixen doesn't invite the entire world, we'll be fine," He placed her back down to catch up to Sidney, "Intimate gathering. Intimate friends."

"What do you say, Sid? I mean, pathos could have its perks?" Tatum nudged Sidney's elbow with her arm as the group of friends came to a standstill.

Stu nodded as he bounced back over to Kitty, pulling her much shorter frame into his body, "I will totally protect you. Yo, I am so buff. I got you covered, girl," He flexed his bicep.

Jason snorted at the comment causing both Kitty and Stu to send him a quick glare. 

"Plus, safety in numbers, right?" Kitty added. 

Stu nodded eagerly.

Sidney looked at her in shock, "You're going?" Her eyes flicked to Kitty's bandage.

"Well, I probably shouldn't stay with the murderer, should I?" She asked bitterly.

Sidney looked down. Guilt washing over her features, "Sorry," She mumbled.

Kitty laughed, pushing Sidney's shoulder, "Kidding. But I'd rather not stay home alone."

Stu stood behind his girlfriend. His tall frame looming over her. His arm wound around her neck softly, bringing her back closer into his chest. She grinned up at him, one of her hands reaching up to rest on his forearm as they awaited for Sidney to finally agree to the party. She craned her neck down slightly to press a quick kiss on Stu's arm, causing him to grin and press a sloppy kiss on the side of her neck, his heart feeling full at the sound of giggles escaping her lips.

Tatum grabbed Sidney's arm, a pleading look on her face, "Come on, Sid. For me? It could be fun."

Sidney sighed, "Okay. Whatever."

"Yeah? Nice!" Stu cheered, "You guys bring the food, all right?" 

He pumped his free arm. Celebrating the plan coming together. 

The trio nodded and began to walk again when Tatum glanced back.

"You coming, Kitty?" She asked.

Kitty shook her head, "Nah. We're gonna have a party before the party," She smirked, sending Tatum a wink.

Tatum let out an over-exaggerated groan before she looped her arms with both Jason and Sidney and the three walked off. Leaving the couple behind.

Kitty turned around in Stu's arms. Looking up at him with a smirk on her face, "I'm gonna go do that thing. You wanna help?"

Stu craned his neck to peck her lips, "Hell yeah!"

She chuckled, wrapping herself from Stu's hold and grabbing his hand instead before the two of them walked off back in the direction they came from. Looking like a normal, innocent, teenage couple. With their laugher and Stu constantly twirling Kitty around. With no one being any the wiser.
