MJ

"I have a question," Sonia whispered her hand weaving it's way underneath my curls.

"Ask."

"Have you ever, like slept with a guy?"

I lift my head to see the mischief dancing in her eyes.

"Yes."

"How many?" She asks.

"Ten."

"Tennn!"

I laugh stupidly tightening my hold on her thighs.

"Yes, why do you ask."

"Uh, nothing just curious."

"Mhhm."

"And girls."

"I lost count."

Her hand stops what she is doing making me laugh again.

"I've only slept with you and Kian," she whispers, almost feeling sorry for herself.

"Wow do you want to sleep with someone else?" I ask, trying to hide the venom in my voice.

"No, of course not I didn't think your body count was that high."

"Is that a problem?"

"No."

"Are you jealous?"

"No," she whines biting her lip.

I grab her jaw telling her the truth of my heart.

"They all had my body not my heart your the only one that has both."

That statement has heat spreading from her neck to cheeks. I lower my head getting comfortable between her thighs knowing she will never sleep with someone else as long as I have anything to do about it.

"Sony,"

"Hmm."

"Can I take you to dinner?"

"Yes,"she answers dragging the syllables.

"Where?" She asks after a while.

"You will see."

"What should I wear?"

"Anything you like," I answer. She looks good in everything.

"What time is the dinner?"

"Sonia."

"Yes."

"Shut up."

"Sonia your making me dizzy," I grumble falling on the bed.

"I'm just nervous."

"Why?"

She has no reason to be.

"Because."

I can see the wheels turning in her head.

"Come here," I say stretching out my hands for her to take. She intertwines her fingers looking nervous as shit.

"For your own peace of mind it's just a casual restaurant near the school we will go have something to eat and detach from reality for a minute. Okay."

"Okay," she huffs her chest moving up and down.

"You look cute by the way."

She was dressed in a tiny black skirt that reached mid thigh and a lacy top.

"I know I'm even wearing Mary Jane's," she says laughing.

Her eyes widen at the statement making me stifle a laugh.

"Ah, let's go."

I press my lips on hers and drag her to the verandah.

"MJ if I ask you a question will you get mad."

"I hate it because my mother was the one that used to call me that and people saying it felt wrong," I answer making her scowl.

"How did you know I was going to ask that?"

"Because I'm your girlfriend," I said tightening my hold on her waist.

We walked under the stars, Sonia blabbering about all sorts of things. A couple of months ago I thought my life was so chaotic when she came in but now it's so peaceful — she's my peace.

A couple meets us at the door telling us how cute we were. The place was beautiful and had a nature theme to it.

Sonia tugged at my red shirt pointing to the table at the back.

"Go sit let me do something first," I say kissing her on the forehead.

"Why?"

"Just go I have a surprise for you."

She accepts reluctantly moving to the table. Her ass sways in the process catching the attention of several people.

That has me running to the nearby flower shop and getting some chocolates in the process. I remember she once said she would love some tulips. I ask the flower shop owner to add a 'puh' teddy bear.

I maneuver inside the restaurant and find her staring at her phone. She does that when she doesn't want to be approached.

"Hey baby," I say kissing her cheek.

Her face glows when she spots me her eyes zeroing on my hands.

"What are you holding?"

"Something for you," I answer handing her the flowers and chocolates.

"MJ."

Her eyes become moist as she watches the items.

"You got me flowers."

"I'll try to be a better girlfriend."

"You are already a good girlfriend. Thank you."

She stands and hugs me giving me a chaste kiss on the lips.

"I love them so much."

"I can tell."

"Oh and I've never slept with a guy," I mutter, watching Sonia bite into the fish.

She drops it immediately glaring at me.

"But you said."

She points an accusatory finger in my direction.

"I was joking," I say sipping the milkshake next to me.

"I knew that."

"No you didn't."

She totally believed my dumb ass lie.

She giggles returning her attention to the food.

"I'm gonna take a picture."

I watch in amusement as she takes loads of photos of me and the food. Satisfied she shoots me an I love you and eats even more.

                        —

The air outside the exam hall was thick, the midday sun glaring down on campus as students scattered in every direction. My head buzzed from the physics test—too many equations, not enough clarity. I pulled my bag higher on my shoulder, weaving through the crowd towards the lounge area. "MJ right?" A girl asks.

I nod, "and you are?"

"Cheptoo."

That doesn't ring a bell. "Am I supposed to know you?" I ask, the words coming out harsher than I intended to. She flinches, tugging at her peekaboo shirt.

"Yeah, I gave you my number some nights ago and you never called me back," she says, her words desperate.

I sigh, trying to recall the moment but I don't.

"Uh, probably forgot."

A small smile spreads on her lips. "It's okay, I can give it to you again if you promise to call," she says, trying to sound cute.

"No thank you I have a girlfriend."
