Short 2: Stars, Planets, and Hell

In Octavia's bedroom at the Goetia Mansion, Octavia and Mimmy are both playing together. Mainly, playing a board game on the floor of her room.

Octavia picks the card and says, "Move two red squares."

Octavia moves her game piece and places it on the red square.

Mimmy then takes the card from the deck.

She gets excited, "Look Octavia, I got a pink square with an ice cream on it," And presents it to Octavia.

The card indeed has a pink square and on it are three scoops of ice cream in three different flavors.

Octavia giggles, "That's the ice cream space. That means you get to move your piece to that square on the board."

Mimmy nods and does just that.

Mimmy happily claps, "Now I'm ahead of you."

Octavia giggles with a smile, mainly from the smile on Mimmy's face.

Soon, the door opens to reveal Blitz

"Hi Via, how are you and Mimmy?" Blitz asks.

"We're doing fine, Blitz," Octavia says.

"We're playing a game," Mimmy happily says.

"Glad to hear you both are having fun," Blitz says, "I'm going to go to the store, do you need me to get you anything?"

"No thank you," Octavia says.

"No thanks daddy," Mimmy says.

"Okay. See you kids later," Blitz says, and closes the door.

Mimmy turns to Octavia, "So Via, what do you wanna do after the game?"

"Hmm, I was thinking of showing you the observatory," Octavia says.

"Observatory?" Mimmy asks.

"Yeah. My dad kind of has a personal one in the palace. It's not big, but it's pretty cool," Octavia says.

"I like to see it," Mimmy says.

"After we're done playing, we can check it out," Octavia says.

Mimmy happily nods her head.

Sometime later...

"Wow!" Mimmy says, amazed.

Mimmy and Octavia are in the observatory and it shows a large telescope sticking out of the roof, along with a platform attached to it. There are star maps, and other essentials.

"It's really big," Mimmy says.

"It is. My dad really loves studying the stars and planets, and such," Octavia says.

Then scratches her beak, "Then again, that's part of his royal duties of studying the earth's sky, prophecies, and all that."

"That's amazing," Mimmy says.

"I know. My dad let me hang out with him sometimes to see the stars and planets," Octavia says.

She and Mimmy walk up the stairs and to see the telescope up close.

"You wanna see?" Octavia asks.

Mimmy happily nods.

Octaiva picks Mimmy up and positions her to see the telescope. She looks to see Hell's sky. She also sees Hell's sun and soon notices a larger white spot in the sky with white swirls circling around it, almost like wings covering it.

"Is that Heaven there?" Mimmy asks.

Octavia looks through it, "That's right. That's Heaven."

"Hmm, I still wonder why Heaven can be seen in Hell, but we can never see it on Earth," Mimmy says.

"That is one of the many mysteries that haven't been explained. Although, one of the theories is that Earth is a different world from Heaven and Hell, and Earth is a between world that connects to Heaven and Hell. Well, at least in theory," Octavia says.

Then Octavia says, "You know, we can also see other places around the Pride Ring."

"That's amazing," Mimmy says.

She continues looking at the telescope to see the many different places as Octavia uses her magic to help navigate the telescope. Soon, Mimmy spots a large castle in the distance that looks almost like it's sparkling and snowing.

"What's that place? It looks like it's made of ice, and a palace, and it's snowing over there," Mimmy says.

"Hmm?" Octavia says, confused.

Then looks through the telescope, "That's my Uncle Andrealphus' palace. And it's pretty accurate because my uncle has ice powers."

"I remember hearing that he's your mom's brother," Mimmy says.

"That's true," Octavia says. Then sighs, "I'm just glad we didn't have to deal with them for the time being."

"I just wish they would leave us alone, especially Stolas and daddy," Mimmy says.

"I have to agree, but there isn't much we can do for the time being," Octavia says.

She then says, "but hey, let's forget about it and do something else fun. Wanna go drawing?"

"Okay," Mimmy answers with a nod.

And for the rest of the time, the two begin drawing pictures and listening to music together. The two smile at each other and are glad to be spending time together.
