time felt still.
the constant "tick" noise was the only thing that made me realize it wasn't.
the sounds of the machines were drowning my thoughts. the continuous "beep" noise made me realize what was happening.
the noises continued. slowing filling my mind until it was the only thing i could hear.
both became louder.
my breath sped up with it, trying to keep up with the noises and thoughts going through my head.
tears filled my eyes, and it felt like the world was crashing down on me.
my heart was pounding. my eyes began to move faster. my hand squeezed yours, hoping that this wasn't the reality.
then the room was silent, and everything stopped.
the only thing heard was a loud "ringing" in my ear. i had a million things in my mind, but my throat was frozen.
i couldn't breathe. i couldn't see.
you were ripped away from me.
too fast, and too soon.
