Lia, unaware of Jungkook's presence, appeared before him, her naked body completely exposed as she tried to wrap herself in her bathrobe, still oblivious to the fact that she was being observed.
Jungkook's breath hitched as he took in the sight, and before Lia could even register his presence, he slipped out of the room quietly.
He stood behind the door, his fingers gripping the doorknob as memories of that moment flooded his thoughts.
With a deep breath, he squeezed his eyes shut, then opened them wide, clearing his throat to steady himself. He knocked gently on the door, calling out, "Lia, are you in there?"
She startled at the sound of his voice, quickly wrapping her bathrobe around herself before rushing to the door. She swung it open, revealing Jungkook standing there, a worried look on his face.
"Thank god you're okay! Is everything alright?" he inquired, a wave of relief washing over him.
"Honestly, Jungkook, I'm fine. It was just a minor accident," she comforted him, but before she could explain further, Jungkook cut her off.
"Minor accident? What happened?" he asked, his voice laced with urgency. "Did Taehyung or Namjoon mess up?"
"Really, it was nothing," she said quickly, her eyes wide with urgency. "Taehyung came to my rescue! I just got trapped in the elevator for a moment.
You know I've had claustrophobia since I was a kid, so I panicked and fainted."
"How could this happen in Hybe? It's unprecedented!" Jungkook exclaimed, his voice laced with concern and frustration. "I promise I'll uncover the truth by tomorrow."
"Junkook, there's no need to fret," she reassured him, her smile brightening the room. "Look at me, I'm doing okay now, and I'll be even better by tomorrow. I just need a bit of rest."
Jungkook stepped outside, leaving her to recuperate. He dialed a number, urgency in his voice. "I need you to uncover what went down today. Get me every detail!"
(The next day in Hybe)
Jin: Jungkook! Do you really think this is such a big deal? It could just be a simple accident, you know.
"No, Hyung, this isn't right," Jungkook said, furrowing his brow. "Why has this never happened before? It must be due to the workers slacking off, or maybe someone did this intentionally."
Jin: Who would even think of doing something like this? You know how strict Hybe is about repetition. I really doubt anyone would have the guts, especially with Namjoon's policy in place.
That's exactly what concerns me," Jungkook remarked, glancing at Jin. "I know the employees wouldn't do it, but what if one of us is behind this?"
Jin: Seriously, who would even think of doing that? And who could possibly be an enemy to her? It's just not possible.
"Namjoon Hyung might be the one behind this," Jungkook said, his voice laced with concern. "He has it all wrong about Lia, and that's why he can't stand her."
Jin: Jungkook! Keep in mind who we're talking about. If Namjoon has a plan, you can be sure he'll handle it outside the office.
Jin glanced at Jungkook, a hint of concern in his voice. "I mean, I don't really know her, but don't you think you've gone a bit overboard? You even had a showdown with Joon just to keep her around."
