"Well anyways, I'd better go on a border patrol. Bye, Bonepaw." Hazelpaw said, staring at him before running off. Bonepaw nodded and ran outside of the forest.

He sniffed the air slightly, smelling a grainy, unfamiliar scent from a cat. Bonepaw dashed after the scent then saw a dark tabby shecat around his age looking at him.

The shecat looked at him, and Bonepaw exchanged glances. The cat sunk down slowly, going into a hunting position-like stance.

"Um, hello." Bonepaw said, not looking away from the shecat.

     "Hello," she said quietly.

"What's your name? I'm Bonepaw." Bonepaw mewed, the cat looking at him.

     "Dark," she meowed.

"Nice to meet you, Dark. You aren't from a Clan, are you?"

Dark shook her head, "I don't know what a Clan is,"

"Do you have a pack or are you alone?" Bonepaw asked.

"I'm in a pack, but I hate it," she murmured.

"Really? What pack?" Bonepaw asked, getting curious.

     "Broken Dreams," she replied.

"Oh. Who's your mother and father?"

     "Reaper and Jax..." Dark hissed.

      "Are they nice?"

      "Stop asking so many questions!"

      "Im sorry,"

"But, no, they are not nice at all."

      "Huh... Do you-"

      "No more questions!"

Bonepaw laughed nervously, lowering his head.

"I bet you could join the clan!" Bone purred.

"No... My parents would be furious," she sighed. "I better go but tomorrow meet me here," she added before turning and running off.

Dark dashed off back to her pack, seeing her father bolting up to her.

     "Where were you!?" Jax hissed.

"I was at the creek, dad," she said, not mentioning Bonepaw.

"You smell like Clan scum," he growled.

"Oh boowho, I went into their territory temporarily!" She hissed. Jax hissed loudly and batted at her head, and Dark easily dodged and bolted up a tree.

Bonepaw sighed as padded back to camp to see Fawnpaw, Winterpaw, and Silverpaw talking to Hazelpaw happily. Bluepaw was cleaning the elders den with a disappointed look on his face.

"Whats wrong?" Bonepaw asked, bounding up to his brother.

     "Nothing" Bluepaw sighed.

"Are you sure, Bluepaw?" Bonepaw asked, worry in his voice.

Dark sat at the tree branch, tired. She rested her head on her paws and wrapped her tail around her side.

She flicked her tail tip nerviously thinking about the handsome tom she had met.

     "He's nice," she murmured happily.
