0700 hours. "Attention Soldiers wake up and get ready for inspection at 0730 sharp" announced the Sargent. There was 16 soldiers in the barracks sharing 8 bunk beds. They all woke up and started getting changed into their uniform before making their beds ready for inspection. However, one soldier could not find their boots. They looked under the bed, in the wardrobe and behind the door but the boots were nowhere to be found. All the rest of the soldiers where standing ready for inspection when the Sargent entered the barracks. Starting at the top of the line and working downwards, the Sargent checked each soldier until he reached the end. The Sargent noticed one soldier was missing. The final soldier appeared without boots. "Where are you boots?" demanded the Sargent. "Sorry Sir, I lost them" replied the soldier. "Unacceptable! As a result, you will have to complete your training in your socks." replied the Sargent.
