Irisa sat seven feet away from Nyx's room, she watched as maids ran around bringing clothes and water to help the physician treat Nyx. She heard that Nyx was having a miscarriage and she did not know how to feel about it.Being a mother herself, she did not want Nyx's child to die, at the same time, Irisa could not pretend to be self-righteous. She did not like Nyx and did not wish anything upon her.
Aaron prevented her from entering the room, she did not mind it. She was there to make sure that she knew what was happening.
"My lady, are you sure this is the right thing to do? I mean, she is miscarrying her child, sitting here will spread bad rumors about you." Nancy pointed out, looking worried, as another bow of blood-stained rag water came out of the room.
"Tea Nancy," Irisa said ignoring her statement. Nancy sighed, Irisa was a stubborn woman, nothing could stop her from doing what she wanted to.
After an hour, the maids were not going back and fought anymore. Aaron and the physician walked out of the room. Irisa had been seen by another doctor and he helped with a walking stick.
"Your Excellency," the physician greeted and walked off. Aaron turned to Irisa and scoffed. He wanted to murder her for killing his child, for ruining what he had with Nyx, for killing their child.
"My lord," Irisa bowed, Aaron scoffed, she still dared to bring a chair and sit there, he wondered what he could do to punish her, so she could feel the pain Nyx would eventually go through.
"You dare call me that, after killing my child!" he screamed at her. His jaw clenched and his hand in a fist, he looked visceral, as if he could slap her.
Irisa frowned, she knew she did not push Nyx that hard, she was pregnant yes but was she that fragile? She could be and she just lost any sort of power she could have over Aaron, because the way he was looking at her, she knew he could murder her if possible.
"Aaron, I am sorry that all of this happened to you, but I don't think I pushed her that hard...."
"If you do not keep your mouth shut!" Aaron screamed at her, raising his hands and shaking. Irisa's eyes widened. She knew that he was not hers anymore but to strike? When she was pregnant herself? What has her life become?
Aaron shook in anger, he glared at her and then looked away.
"I would never hit a woman! But I do not want to ever see you in my sight again, are we clear?" Aaron asked, with his eyes narrowed.
Irisa took a breath in disbelief, she did not believe what was hearing or witnessing. She stared at him for a while. Who would have thought that the man he dedicated her life to would attempt to slap her? Assault her? The insult knew no bounds.
Then again she did kill his child, if somebody ever put her child in harm's way, she would never forgive them. She would make sure that they paid dearly for it. She could somewhat understand his plight. Irisa had no malicious intent, she knew she did not push Nyx hard enough to even fall, everyone saw it, but how did she get on the floor, pleading? So badly?
Irisa recultantly bowed, decided she needed to know what was going on, and what that message Aaron's mother had relaid meant. Aaron did not look like he was in the state for long. The first time he was indeed in the state. Irisa wondered what had happened when he entered that world. Was it a puzzle she had to solve like hers? Was there something different?!
Irisa rubbed her head and started walking back to her Palace. Everything was so confusing to her, the Palace was so familiar but she felt somewhat like she was in a maze, a maze she could not get out of.
