Gianna Rostova

The feeling knowing that my last day was finally over gave me a feeling of accomplishment in my life. Something I hadn't felt in a long time.

Walking out of the hospital felt oddly good, Amelia had left and she even gave me a cute card saying as a thank you.

That was why I loved being a nurse, I loved helping people get better and the happiness it fills me with to see them healthy again.

I decided to treat myself, I changed at the hospital into regular clothes and walked over to a fast food restaurant, since I had missed the bus.

The bell above me sounded as I entered, sighing at the warmth a sharp contrast to the cold night air outside. I walked over to the counter ready to order. There was no one at the counter yet so I waited.

"Gia!" an obnoxious voice sounded behind me.

It was the late and I didn't want to see Noah at all, not now or later.

I turn around stiffly, "Go away, Noah."

I say, he rolls his eyes, "You can't seriously still be mad about that little text issue," his shoulders slumped in a playfully manner as if it was funny. He held his hands up it mock defence "Alright, alright, I'm sorry,"

I was still mad at him for saying that even though it was a while ago. Regardless, I wasn't in the mood to see anyone, "It doesn't matter, I'm not having this conversation with you,"

"Fine," the smirk on his face dims, "So, where is your knight in shining armor anyways? Too busy for you?" He snorted out a laugh.

I straighten, ignoring the memories that came flooding back to me at the mention for him taking a deep breath, "That doesn't matter."

Noah's eyebrows shoot up at my change in demeanour, "Wow, you got your heart broken,"

I roll my eyes, but I didn't deny his statement.

"I can't say I'm surprised, men like Matteo aren't men like me," he takes a step closer me, and looked at me in a way that made me feel really uncomfortable.

I take a step back, "What are you doing!" I ask wearily. Defense creeping into my tone, he looked at me like I was some kind of piece of meat. It was sickening.

"Excuse me?" The cashier says. She didn't seem to have seen anything so I turn around, trying to ignore the person behind me.

"Hi, sorry, can I get a burger and fries?" I ask, I changed my tone of voice from the annoyed one I used on Noah.

"Yes, will you be eating in or take away," she says after taping a few buttons on the register i front of her.

I was actually going to eat in so that I could just go to bed as soon as I got home but with Noah here I'd rather not. I needed to get as far away from him as possible. Perhaps if I left, he would leave me alone too.

"Take away, please," I say, I could hear Noah scoff behind me, muttering some words under his breath but I ignore him.

They give me my order pretty quick, and I grabbed the bag, said thank you and left, hugging my coat tighter around my body, but Noah followed. I tried shifting to the other part of the street but he simply trailed behind me.

"Leave me alone," I say, over my shoulder.

"You don't own the street," he says mockingly.

"You're following me!" I say, pissed.

"No, we just happen to be going to same way,"

My apartment wasn't that far away, and I was scared Noah would know where I lived. He was staring to scare me.
