The invitation

Freshly awakened from a long deep sleep, Lily goes to the bathroom to wash her face, her teeth and goes downstairs to have breakfast. She checks her messages on her phone and finds a "good morning" message from her best friend Josy followed by a series of links to concerts, dates and prices of fanmeetings. Lily starts opening these links and sees that it is the concert of her best friend Josy's favorite band. Josy immediately writes to her, telling her to go with her and Lily thinks about it for a moment and decides to accept, even though she only vaguely listens to the group when they release new music. Josy is ecstatic and starts making plans about where to sleep at night, what to wear to the concert and above all what to eat during the day. Lily is happy that her best friend is happy but she starts to have several worries, including what to say at the fan meeting, the fan chants to memorize, the topics to bring up etc. Lily has always been an anxious, shy and insecure person. The days go by and the girls start to organize themselves for the concert, they book the apartment and think about when to leave to arrive on time. The concert will take place in a month but the worries and problems for Lily will grow more and more. 

It's a new day and Lily wakes up as usual, leaves the house to send out her resume and goes to lunch with her mom. She tells her mom about the concert and asks if she can stay over because she wouldn't have a ride back since she's not home. Lily's mom, after much warning, gives her permission and tells her to be careful.  

Lily feels a little strange because she has never traveled beyond her small village and has never been allowed to sleep outside. She is happy, but as always this moment of happiness is followed by moments of worry and anxiety. She is constantly afraid of making a fool of herself, of making mistakes, of falling in front of someone or even of saying hello to someone. She hopes that all these things will not happen at the concert, but she knows that she will not be able to handle them and above all that after making these mistakes she will think about it day after day without ever forgetting them.
