A/n's pov

"What do you mean, poison? How did you know it’s poisoned?" Soobin asked, confused.

Then something unexpected happened.

"Soobin..." y/n called softly.

Soobin’s eyes widened upon hearing his real name come out of y/n's mouth. "How did you know...?"

"Didn’t I tell you? I came from the future," y/n said, her voice firm but calm.

Soobin stared at her in disbelief. "Do you really have to say ridiculous things right now, in this situation?" he snapped, still not understanding.

"Choi Soobin! I’m telling you the truth! I came from the future. Believe it or not, I’m here to change your fate," y/n said, her eyes filled with urgency.

Yeonjun, who had been silently watching, now looked at her in confusion and shock. "Choi Soobin... what do you mean, y/n?" he asked, his gaze shifting between Soobin and y/n.

"Steve isn't his real name, it's just a name he gave himself. His real name is Choi Soobin, the crown prince of Staehan Kingdom... and your fiancé," y/n explained.

"Is this true?" Yeonjun asked softly, hurt creeping into his voice.

Soobin’s throat tightened. He opened his mouth to say something, but no words came out. He had been hiding his identity for so long that it felt impossible to explain now.

Y/n sighed, shaking her head. "Don’t keep secrets from each other anymore. Not now. You need to trust each other if you’re going to survive what’s coming."

Yeonjun stared at Soobin, searching his face for answers. His mind reeled from the sudden flood of information. The man he had fallen in love with—his boyfriend, the person he trusted more than anyone—was not just any ordinary citizen but a crown prince. And they were engaged!

"And… you came from the future?" Yeonjun asked, his voice still shaky as he tried to piece it all together. His confusion was obvious, but so was his growing need to understand.

Y/n nodded. "Yes. Whether you believe me or not doesn’t matter. I came here to stop a tragedy from happening. In the future, something terrible happens. That’s why I’m here—to change your fate."

"What do you mean by fate-changing?" Yeonjun asked after a moment, his voice low and tense.

"I already changed it... just now," y/n replied, her voice calm but firm.

"What do you mean? What did you change?" Soobin asked, still not fully understanding.

"The arrow that was fired— it was supposed to hit you, Soobin," y/n said, her eyes locking on his. "But because I came here, I stopped it from happening."

Soobin's breath hitched, and Yeonjun’s jaw dropped slightly as he processed her words.

"If Soobin, you had died," y/n continued, "Yeonjun, you would have followed him. You would have used the same arrow to end your own life, unable to bear the loss."

The air around them grew thick with tension as both Soobin and Yeonjun took in her words. Yeonjun’s eyes widened with horror as the weight of the revelation sank in.

"And the worst part?" y/n said, her voice soft but unwavering. "Yeonjun... you would have died without ever knowing the truth about Soobin."

A heavy silence filled the space between them. Soobin’s eyes were wide, his mind racing, while Yeonjun stood frozen in place, staring at Soobin with an expression that was a mix of shock and confusion.

"Why didn’t you tell me?" Yeonjun asked, his voice barely above a whisper as he turned to face Soobin.

Soobin remained silent, his lips pressed into a thin line.

"Don’t hide things from each other again," y/n said again, her gaze firm as she looked at both of them. "This could have ended so much worse."

Yeonjun’s throat tightened as he looked at Soobin, his eyes filled with unspoken emotions. Soobin, who was still processing the gravity of the situation, lowered his gaze, unable to meet Yeonjun’s eyes.

"I know this is a lot to take in," y/n said, her voice softening. "But believe me or not, I came from the future to change things. I couldn’t just let that horrible future happen."

Soobin finally lifted his head, his expression conflicted. "But... if you’ve changed our fate, what happens to you now?" he asked, his voice laced with concern.

"I’ll be okay... in my timeline... I guess," y/n said with a small, almost sad smile, though there was a hint of doubt in her eyes.

Yeonjun looked at her, then at Soobin, unsure of what to say. The weight of what could have happened loomed over them, and the silence that followed was thick with emotion.

Then Soobin noticed something strange. Y/n’s hand began to fade, becoming transparent.

"What’s happening?" Soobin asked, panicking slightly as he lifted her hand. His voice trembled as he stared at her fading form.

Y/n looked at him with a calm expression. "I think this is how I’m going to leave. Don’t worry, Soobin. I’ll be okay in my timeline."

"But... no," Soobin stammered, his eyes widening in disbelief. "You’re disappearing. We... we need to do something."

Y/n shook her head softly, her voice steady despite the situation. "There’s nothing you can do, I am just going back to my timeline, I am not belong here. But before I go, promise me one thing."

Soobin nodded quickly, still holding onto her fading hand. "Anything... just tell me."

"Please, don’t hide anything from each other anymore," Y/n said, glancing between Soobin and Yeonjun. "Be honest. No more secrets."

Soobin’s heart clenched at her words, knowing full well what she meant. He turned to look at Yeonjun, who seemed equally shaken.

"And Soobin," Y/n added, her voice softer now, "I know you came from the palace without your parents knowing. After this war, you need to go back, your parents are still worried and trying to find you."

Soobin’s eyes widened at her knowledge, but before he could respond, Y/n continued.

"Don’t worry about this war. It’s a win. I’ve already seen it in the future. You’ll be victorious. But you need to be there, with your people, and with Yeonjun."

Her body started to disappear even more now, her figure becoming translucent as she spoke.

"Please," she repeated, her voice growing faint, "be honest with each other from now on. No more lies, haha I am sorry i am being casual, you guys are prince's afterall."

Yeonjun, who had been silent, finally spoke, his voice thick with emotion. "Y/n, thank you... for everything."

Y/n smiled, a small but warm smile that reached her eyes. "You’ll be fine, both of you. I’ll be back in my timeline soon enough."

With that, her entire body shimmered, fading into nothingness. The last thing Soobin and Yeonjun saw was her soft smile as she disappeared completely, disappearing from soobin's lap.

The air felt heavier now, as if the weight of her departure pressed on both of them. Soobin stared at the spot where Y/n had been, his chest tight. Yeonjun stood close by, equally speechless, processing everything that had just happened.

But even in the silence, they both knew one thing: they couldn’t go back to hiding things from each other anymore.
