In the normal day of living in a slum, a foul odor filling the air around the area as Liridona's leg sway her way to buy some bread for breakfast. She takes out her polyamide pouch to count her coins, calculating the expenses to save every cents.
Though it is pointless, because she brought the exact amount.
The world seems to revolves again just like yesterday, pigeons and doves she saw are covering her sight, almost making her believe that she's about to become colour blind.''How many bread you want, brat'' a tall man hovering her, halting her from falling deeper in her contemplation
''just two, sir'' she rummages through her pocket, a cold sweat running from her forehead as she realised her pouch is gone. She looks around her in a calm facade, then proceeds walking to all the places she passed by. Leaving the seller man behind in confusion.
Not too long after, she finds and grabs her pouch that's laying on the ground across intersection, its torn into two pieces.Without thinking, she runs back to the spot where people sell their things, and trying to find a guy buying two loaf of bread. she thereupon caught a glimpse of the person she search for, thus she followed him around closely like a shadow.
It was her lucky day. A bright morning sky, A foolish prey, except the world defy...........
Embodying a casting gloom that haunt a being, I snatch every light that appears in his life and in his lowest state, I take back what's rightfully mine.
As the last beam of sun drifting from the sky, I tossed a gold coin I got from that thief, and I also holding the breads. I smile as my path is lead by victory today so I came back to where I belong with an unusual delight expression.Creak- A grating sound created as the old door open
''Liri? is that you?" a soft tone comes out from a woman I'm approaching. Her hand reaching out to me, waiting for me to hold it.
"yes, mom" I put her hand upon my cheek to assure her my presence. She asks me the same question every time I return home.
"My baby... did you find it?" And I would never understood what she meant by it. She will keep repeating that until she tired and stopped, meanwhile I sat down next to her in silence and feeling the sensation of flowing wind from the wide open door to my skin. We would just spent the rest of day like this, doing absolutely nothing.
'It's a miracle we are still alive' I thought and shifted my gaze to the outside, I saw from the very faraway, a pigeon flying toward us. Loud noises were made as It slide through the ground like a sleigh, something must had control it in some way.
It glide smoothly now that its track become slippery from its own blood.Half of the bird skin was torn to shred, painting our floor red. The last moment of that pigeon, turns to be a vivid death. Atleast it will be remembered by me. I touch its wing, noticing that there are two paper stuck to its feet.
"what was that strident sound, Liri?""a dead pigeon " I reply and to my surprise, she is smiling ambiguously.
"does it come with something on it? I knew it. He wouldn't just le-" She mumbled inaudibly. I open the folded up sheet of paper and there it's written 'come back by yourself on your two feet or you'll be having none'. Sounds like a threat.
"did you mess around with someone?" I look at her lifeless brown eyes, and sigh. I hand the paper to her and get up from sitting, trying to leave the house before she grabs me
"wait, read it out loud" She aks me with a screeching voice
'I forgot that she's blind' I'm about to go to the direction that the bird comes from, but I guess I can hold back my curiosity for a moment.
"LIRI! PLEASE GO TO THIS LOCATION, I BEG YOU" she is yelling and shouting like crazy after I told her what's the paper about. She picks up the other paper, as if she knew what's written in the other one. And again, she surprises me.
It is an address to somewhere.
Great. I take a look at the address, it's in the central part of the city. It is strange because only aristocrats lives there, how does a commoner like her made connection with blue bloods?. I look at her eyes again, maybe something about that soulless stare is pleasant to my eyes. I throw a gold coin to her and have decide to go to that region by myself on my two feet like the threat suggest.
"It's a gold coin, you know what to do, mom" I bid my farewell and start to saunter away while carrying the papers with me.
It really was my lucky day. An obscure night, with myself as a prey, waiting to be blight.
(what do u guys think?, I want to make a long series starting from this, please correct me if there is error like incorrect grammars, I'm not a native english speaker)
