Edward POV

"I'll do it. Whatever it is, I'll do it."

The words slipped out before I even had a chance to second-guess myself. I was standing in front of him—the blank, white figure, without eyes or mouth but with that unsettling grin that always seemed to know too much.

Truth.

We had met before. Too many times, honestly. Each time was etched into my mind with the kind of intensity that never leaves you. But this time... it felt different. Less like I was walking into some grand punishment and more like I was on the verge of something bigger.

"Are you sure, Edward Elric?" Truth's voice echoed, though his lips didn't move. "No hesitation?"

I balled my fists. "I don't care what it is. If it gets me Al back, I'll do it. What do you want?"

The silence that followed made my skin crawl. It wasn't the usual type of silence. No, this one had weight. I could feel it pressing down on me, like the calm before a storm I wasn't ready for.

"Very well," Truth said, his grin widening as the door behind him creaked open, darkness spilling out like ink. "I'll see you again, Edward Elric."

Rin's POV

The night had gone exactly as planned. Everything had lined up perfectly—the ley lines, the circle, the incantations. I had prepared for this moment for years. The time was right, and my Servant would soon answer my call.

The crest on my hand pulsed, the magic pouring into the summoning circle in waves, making my skin tingle. The light in the center intensified until I had to squint. The air buzzed with the overwhelming power I'd gathered.

The figure materialized in the center of the glowing circle, but... something was off.

This wasn't the Servant I expected.

His red coat billowed out slightly, settling around a pair of boots that were definitely not the armor-clad feet of the Archer I had intended to summon. The figure straightened, turning towards me with the most confused expression I've ever seen on a Servant.

His eyes—golden, sharp—met mine, but not with the silent acknowledgment of an ally. No, he looked just as lost as I felt.

"You've got to be kidding me," he muttered, scratching the back of his head. "Where the hell am I?"

Edward's POV

I wasn't in the void anymore. No, that was too obvious. This place had walls, a floor, and—okay, what was with this glowing magic circle?

The last thing I remembered was talking to Truth, making some ridiculous deal. And now here I was, in front of... a girl? A very irritated-looking girl.

"Hey," I said, blinking a few times to clear my head. "Where am I?"

The girl crossed her arms, her eyes narrowing. "You're in Fuyuki City," she snapped, like that explained everything. "And you're supposed to be my Servant."

"Servant?" I glanced down at myself. Everything seemed in place. No weird marks, no missing limbs—always a plus. "What the hell are you talking about?"

Then it hit me. Literally. A flood of knowledge poured into my mind, almost knocking me off my feet. Holy Grail War. Servant. Master. Heroic Spirit. Foreigner class. What the hell was this mess?

"Woah, woah, woah. Hold up!" I held out my hand to stop the influx of information, though it didn't actually slow down. I winced as the words settled in my brain. "You're saying I'm in some kind of war? And I'm your... Servant? Whatever that means."
