Indiana Jones saw Edo's sword coming for him. He rolled out of the way, sprung to his feet and gripped the man-like apkallu beast by the throat with one hand, growling in the deep authoritative rage of a man determined to protect his family. "I know who holds the keys to death and hell - and he's not going to give them to you!"

Edo saw the sword coming toward him and knew instantly. "You... you stole the Seventh Sword of Diya from the Treasure Guardian...?"

"No." Indy swung the Seventh Sword of Diya, chopping off the apkallu's head. "Treasure Guardian gave it to me."

Indy spun the sword in his hand and stabbed Edo through the heart, slamming the man and apkallu into the altar, just like he'd done when he'd struck Indy.

The natural and supernatural trembled as Indy stared into Edo-apkallu's eyes. Thousands of hungry ghosts surrounded them. Women and children and soldiers killed and tortured by Edo in Nanking. They stared nodding and thanking Indy as Edo-apkallu shuddered, screaming at their pain... feeling their horror for the first time.

Indy held the sword in Edo-apkallu's chest... containing both the man and the supernatural being. "You killed them. You killed them and they have haunted me for decades. They affected me. They affected my marriage. They affected my wife. They affected our ability to have more children. Now I have more kids. The ones you maimed and murdered have justice. And, Edo the human - you're going to be tortured in hell by the beings you chose to worship."

Indy pulled the Seventh Sword of Diya from Edo-apkallu's chest.

Edo, the man, felt the apkallu drag his spirit into the underworld with them.

Edo, the apkallu stared at Indy. "You weren't supposed to come back. You weren't supposed to be like him. You were supposed to stay dead! We were supposed to have the world!"

Indy grinned in victory, threatening the apkallu with ancient words. "Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharisin. You have been weighed in the balance and found lacking. Your time is up. You will never rule or enslave humanity again. We the people - who you want to enslave, torture and ruin - we replace you! You can't threaten my family - you're not that powerful!"
