It was dark where I was, strangely enough the sound of a baby crying. I was confused as to what was happening but I started moving. I felt sad too but then I saw a crack emerge in front of me, opening up and all I saw was a baby's room and a crib. I was crying as if mimicking the baby. Two parentals stood there taking care of the baby, a little girl with tan skin and blue hair. Her father looked at me and gasped, I was hatched from the egg and I stretched my ears. "Did it hatch the same time our baby needed us?" The male parental said and lifted me up. And brought me to their daughter who finally calmed down. "Sweetie, this is a buneary. She'll be watching over you." The male parental said and then the female parental took me into her other arm, smiling and then I looked at their daughter. "Hi there little girl." I said and tried to touch her little cheeks but beat me to it and grabbed onto my ears. I started crying and so did the baby, we acted alike and it felt right that it made the both of us stopped. Ten years later the girl and I were asleep in the same bed, it was peaceful. I learned that her name was Darcy. I was happy being by her side but when the alarm went off I feared the worst as she woke up smiling. "Today's the day I get my first Pokémon!" Darcy shouted and got out of bed. I woke up groggy, confused of what she meant, rubbing my ears and grabbed the tips and held them down to stop the ringing in them from her shouting. I got out of the bed and so did Darcy, walking out and got on a slide that lead downstairs. "Look, mom's poffins! I should give them to my partner when I get to choose!" Darcy said with a happy tone, taking out a pidgin case and walking out of the house. I tried to follow but then the door closed in my face. I climbed onto the counter, looking through the window and banging on it. "Darcy! You forgot about me! Darcy!" I shouted, practically in tears. Hours gone by and the parental came home, Mia and Xander. They saw that I was eating Pokémon food from my bowl, sitting on the ground sadden. "Oh poor thing. Did Darcy leave you here?" Mia asked and lifted me up from off the ground, Xander walking over and held up a pidgin that was decorated. "Buneary. Darcy has to start her own journey. She's heading to the kalos region. I'm sorry but she isn't coming back buneary. Now say ah." Xander said and held up the cream puff, expecting me to eat it but then I actually did and felt a little happy to have my breakfast for a part of my lunch. "Here, I heard she's in a Pokémon contest. I bet she already caught so much Pokémon that she'll become champion." Mia said and carried me to the couch. It was nice being treated like family even though I was a wild Pokémon, I was secretly hoping Darcy was going to choose me for her first pokemon partner and not just a friend. When Xander turned on the tv he changed the channel to the contest, but it was nearing the end and they were going to reveal the first place winner. "Looks like we missed most of it." Xander said and then went into the kitchen." And the wonder is Darcy and mawile!" An announcer said, Darcy appearing on screen with a mawile, the two seeming happy being with each other. I started crying the loudest cry and Mia panicked, grabbing the control and turning off the tv. "Look, I'm sorry buneary, you need to accept the fact that Darcy will be away on her journeys. Pleas don't cry. Mommy and daddy will still take care of you." Mia said but I just jumped out of her arms and hopped up the stairs, going into the bedroom and slamming the door shut. Eight weeks officially gone by now, I was sitting in a garden surrounded by flabebes. To my surprise Darcy walked through the door and I ran in. "Hay mom, I'm home. I also brought mawile with me." Darcy said and looked at Mia who was chopping carrots for lunch, smiling after hearing Darcy's voice. "Welcome back sweetie. How was your little journey? Catch any strong Pokémon?  Tell me all about it." Mia said and put the sliced carrots in a pot that was boiling almost to the brim. I walked in through a doggy  door, looking up at Darcy in surprise and small tears in my eyes but when I saw mawile I felt like I didn't belong whatsoever. "it was so fun! I battled this gym leader name viola! Her surskit are really strong! Even her vivillon was hard to land a hit on!" Darcy seemed ecstatic, mawile sitting on her lap and eating some berries that sat in a bowl, berries that I've been collecting for myself only. "Well if you were going to battle bug type pokemon then you should've taken buneary with you. She's been practicing using double kick." Mia said and then filled a lot with water, placing it on the stove and noticed I was standing near the door. I ran to the counter, climbing up a small pair of steps and looked into my bowl, noticing the only thing left was one singular bite left of a pecha berry. "Oh don't worry buneary. You'll get those back in no time." Mia said which confused Darcy, but mawile was unfazed by anything. "Ever since you left buneary here has been gathering berries. She was saving those." Mia said but Darcy didn't even care. "Well mawile needs them more. She's a battling Pokémon unlike buneary." Darcy said which made me feel sorta left out which also caught Mia's attention and she lifted me in her arms. "You do not speak like that about buneary. She has been with us for ten years, she is family." Mia said defensively and then took the teapot as it whistled and poured the hot water in a cup. The night came, Darcy was in her room with a sleeping mawile beside her in bed. When I walked in I climbed onto the bed and Darcy noticed, looking over at mawile who was still asleep and back at me. "Sorry buneary. Maybe you should go sleep in the living room. Mawile just wants to stay close. Maybe another time?" Darcy said with a smile and tried reaching over. I backed away and jumped off the bed, Darcy was a bit heartbroken but knew she made wrong choices. She was unaware of my next action but it lead me to being in the backyard digging under the fence, crawling under it which dirtied my fur all over. I started running, not wanting to see this place anymore, but also not knowing where I'm heading. I ran through a forest and then when I reached the end I was greeted with boats. I ran even faster and ran up and onto one as it started sailing away. "Let's see, these crates should be heading to alola." A man said as they walked by. I was hiding behind a container, watching carefully as I didn't want to be caught. I was rubbing my arms from the breeze and then slowly went to sleep.
