—IT WAS THE NIGHT OF THE CARNIVAL. lee drove the two girls to the festival, as they were preparing the booth. everything was set to go, and students started to pack the place.
the festival was filled with teens, playing different kind of games, laughing and having fun. no one was currently at the kissing booth but ashley wanted to make sure that her sister's booth will crush.
she then noticed noah flynn, just opposite of her, playing the game with the hammer, earning cheers from all around him. ashley wanted to at least try again and convince him to do the booth just for the sake of her sister.
noah noticed the girl and decided to make his way towards her. ashley was glad that he was approaching her as she found this the perfect opportunity for her plan.
"hey," she greeted him with a smile, earning the same gesture back. "i know we can't agree on one single thing or bare each other but for your brother's and elle's sake. can you just like stop by the booth for a minute or two make an appearance and then leave with your fan club and enjoy your night?"
noah managed to laugh at what what he was hearing. ashley was practically begging him to stop by the booth but he liked the fact that she stood up for her sister and made sure to put her happiness over her own.
"wow. i'm just in shock. the independent ashley evans who doesn't want to be told what to do by anyone, is begging somebody else for help." ashley recognised the sarcasm on his tone fast enough. scoffing she rolled her eyes, unable to believe what a jerk this boy was.
"you're such a jerk noah. i didn't ask you to do shit for me i just asked you to do something for elle and your brother. i mean how selfish can you be?" ashley was tired of this whole conversation. "this was a mistake," and with that she took off, searching for her sister and lee not giving the boy a second glance.
noah on the other hand, took everything the girl said and he realised that she might be right. as she was getting far more away, he couldn't keep his eyes away from her.
"step right up, ladies and gentlemen!" lee yelled, catching the attention from the people around the booth. "come one, come all, behold the power and raw intensity of a kiss from one of our beautiful people! a ticket and a mint, which we encourage each and every single one of you to use!" lee's speech, caught the attention of the teens around him started to approach the booth.
"just gonna be 5$. all sales and epic smooches are final!" elle joined as well. "as you may have noticed there's a slight twist to this kissing booth," lee continued. "the people you will be kissing are blindfolded!" cheers started to emerge from the people below him.
the kissing booth started pretty smoothly, and it was pretty packed. the line of teens waiting was long, making both elle and lee thrilled that their booth was successful. ashley was standing in the crowd along with the OMGs, waiting for her to be called on the stage. as much as she hated the fact that she was about to kiss a bunch of strangers in front of her whole school, she only thought of her sister and lee.
as elle and lee were concerned, they had a little problem. they promised the people that noah flynn would make an appearance but he didn't. so they had to come up with a quick plan. that plan was for lee to take noah's place instead.
"as promised the next kisser is flynn!" elle yelled causing the people around her and lee to give them rather disappointed looks since they were promised noah not his brother.
"hold on. that's not flynn!" some girl from the crowd yelled. "that is lee flynn," hearing that people started to leave the booth, scoffing at what was happening. "the only reason i ever talked to that dork was to make sure he'd get his brother to come to the booth tonight," once mia said that, lee felt this huge sadness and insecurity to fill him up.
"you're such a bitch mia," mia turned to look at the evans girl standing next to her. "excuse me?" ashley rolled her eyes at the tone of the girl. "yes excuse you. you want me to repeat it agai, since you're so slow. i said you're such a bitch. thinking everyone likes you, wants to be you. well guess what they don't. you're just a girl with insecurities bigger than her head," mia along with her minions gasped at the girl.
lee managed to smile a little at hearing ashley defending him. "i guess i'm next," un unknown voice was heard. ashley turned and saw a girl approaching lee at the stage. "well that's going to be a wild night for lee,"
