NONE OF THE MARVEL CHARACTERS BELONG TO ME ONLY MARVEL!
A/N: I just want to say that I haven't made many Fanfics before, especially one so dark, so I honestly can't tell how this one is gonna go. I hope you enjoy it anyways!
Peter rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand, as he strained to hear what his AP Calculus teacher was trying to explain. He could feel the teacher's eyes burning into his soul, as he noticed Peter's lack of concentration.
"Boring you out Parker?" The teacher sneered, placing the ruler he was using to point at the whiteboard down on his desk.
"No sorry sir, I just didn't really sleep well," Peter felt a flush creep up his neck as all the students eyes turned to face him. Oh how he hated the attention. He wasn't totally telling a lie however, he was out all night patrolling the streets of Queens, fighting petty crimes, and keeping the justice system in tact.
"Right...Well try to look more lively," the teacher turned back towards the equation on the whiteboard behind him. Peter glanced at it, realising the solution immediately. After a few minutes, he went back to staring mindlessly out the window.
How he wanted to just leave that classroom, leave the judging eyes, the sound of the clock on the wall, the constant chewing of gum. All those sounds overwhelmed Peter, causing his 'neurotypical mask' fall further over his face. The same mask that had provided comfort through his whole entire life, allowing himself to feel even just a little bit more like he fit in. Like he fit that little tiny mold that classified people into 'fit' for society. Without that mask Peter would be the wrong shape for that mold, so it was better for people not to know that it even existed. You're probably wondering what was so wrong with him that it required a 'mask' or to be a complete secret. Well Peter was autistic, something that he resented himself for, wishing for him to just be a normal kid, what ever 'normal' was. Luckily nobody knew, at least as far as Peter was concerned, and if they did know they kept it to themselves, as no one had ever brought it up to him. It was for the better that way though; if a certain Flash Thompson were to find out, it would give him an even more reason to bully him - but also the heavily stigma that suffocated the 'more able' end of the spectrum. He resented it so much that not even his best friend Ned Leeds knew. It was already so hard for Peter to make friends that it terrified him that if Ned found out he would throw him to the curb.
So to say Peter was tired was an understatement. He was absolutely exhausted. he was receiving so much sensory input that his brain felt that it would burst from his skull.
He picked at the edges of his fingernails, glancing at the clock willing for it to ring so he could leave the confines of this concrete prison. At last he heard the loud pealing of the bell, his shoulders relaxing almost instantly, a small sigh escaping his mouth. But he wasn't entirely safe from the sensory overload yet. He still had to make it through the bustling corridor and into the lunch hall. Reaching into his bag, Peter pulled a small plastic case containing two small rubber earbuds. It was one of the few things that Peter owned beside the clothes on his back. His Aunt May worked tirelessly for the money that they earned each month, but it was only ever enough to pay bills and food for the month. These earbuds were designed to deafen the peripheral sound around him. Ever since his spider bite, his senses had been dialled up to 11, and he couldn't manage the sound as well.

Peter managed to find Ned at lunch, his stomach growling softly. Slinging his bag down on the bench with a dull thud. Ned looked up from his food and greeted Peter with a small smile.
"Hey how was Calculus?" Ned said, clearing an area on the table for Peter to put his tray.
"Boring really, I would much rather be at the Stark internship, if I'm being completely honest." Peter reached for his jelly sandwich; one of his safe foods."At least my ideas are appreciated there."
