The man limped onto his porch, pausing as he reached the top step. "What?..." He gasped and looked down, there was a small baby inside of a carrier. The small baby was asleep, with a note nestled under its hand. "A kid.." he whispers and crouches down before sitting down next to the basket.
"Who are you I wonder." Mike thinks and grabs the paper from under the baby's hand, the baby stirred but didn't wake up.
The paper was a simple note, but it clear the writer was begging for someone to take care of their son.
"Well at least they also put the documents beside him." He says still confused but he wasn't going to be dealing with this at the moment so he stands back up, grabbing ahold of the baby's carrier.
Unlocking the door and entering the dark house, placing the baby onto a table. "Give me just a second little man, I'll get the lights on." Michael says and walks over to a light switch and flicking it on where the lights brightly shine around the living room and connected kitchen.
The baby woke up and burst into tears, "Ah fuck- sorry sorry!" He yelps and runs over to the carrier and picks up the baby boy from his carrier.
"Hey kiddo it's okay, it's okay. I'm sorry for waking you up." He says and bounces the baby up and down gently.
The baby coos and looks at Michael, his eyes gazing at the purple corpse holding him. "Please don't cry more." Michael thinks and gives a gentle smile.
The baby boy smiles and reaches up for Michael's face. He gasped and chuckles, holding the boy closer to his face. The two's foreheads touching gently.
Michael holds the boy in one arm and grabs the note once again, "Your name is Gregory huh.. well nice to meet you Gregory, I'm Michael." He says and smiles to the boy who giggles gently.
