Velvette woke up from her nap and got out of bed. A small yawn came from her mouth as she stretched her new arms, hearing the servos whirring inside.
"I'm not used to that yet." Velvette muttered as looked at her clock and saw about two hours have passed since her nap. "Yeah, I guess that's a good time to get up."
Velvette looked at her to-go bag with her flesh burger with bacon and cheese, making her stomach growl a bit.
'God, I'm still fucking hungry?' She thought before grabbing her bag and opening it, taking out her burger. 'Ah, delicious flesh.'
With a big bite, Velvette hummed in delight as she exited her room while still eating. She did care that her burger was a little cold, so she was heading to the kitchen to warm it up before finishing it.
...Not that it really mattered to her, food is something most people take for granted, she used to be one of those people before her fall from "grace."
'Eh, I'll probably finish it before getting to the microwave. Maybe I'll get a drink instead.' Velvette thought as she took another bite of her burger.
As she reached the lovby, Velvette found Emily at the bar drinking from a bottle.
"Hmm, can you spare one of those?" Velvette asked with a full mouth, walking to the bar.
"Well, look who's awake." Emily said with a grin as Velvette sat next to her.
"It's been a tiring few days." Velvette said.
"Well, what would you like and what are you eating?" Emily asked as Husk was in a break right now.
"Anything works and this is a special cannibal burger I got with Rosie, so hands off." Velvette said, being territorial with her food.
"Don't worry, I'm not touching it." Emily said.
She had already eaten, so Emily didn't need any of Velvette's food... Plus, Velvette looks like she isn't afraid to bite off someone's fingers for touching her food.
"So, what sort of drink would you like? I know you said anything but I just want to be sure." Emily said as she got up and walked behind the bar.
"I wouldn't say no to a Cape Cod." Velvette said.
"That's vodka, cranberry juice, and a lime wedge, right?" Emily asked, having learned some things about mixing drinks from watching Husk.
"Yep. But give mine two lime wedges." Velvette said.
"Oh, daring today, are we?" Emily asked, quirking a brow.
What most people don't know is that limes are known to be more sour than lemons or in some cases more bitter depending on the person who tastes them. So having two lime wedges in a drink, that's a very daring choice.
'She eats flesh, so she might have the tongue and stomach for it.' Emily thought as she mixed the drink.
Emily wouldn't know, she hates limes.
"Here you go. One Cape Cod, double lime wedges." Emily said, presenting Velvette a red drink with ice, a straw, and two slices of lime inside.
"Thank you kindly." Velvette said.
Velvette set down her food and drank from the straw, tasting her favorite drink after so long.
"So, how is it?" Emily asked.
"Just as good as I remember." Velvette said with a smile.
"Glad you like it. I think I'll have one myself minus the lime." Emily said, pouring herself a second drink.
