"He fucking edited my article!" I couldn't believe what I was reading on our official page. "What a fucking dickhead." Anger seemed to flow through me as I reread the words. The gang isn't going into hiding now but left plans for their next murder instead of a goodbye note. "He's screwed me."

My laptop got the blunt force of my anger as I slammed the screen down shut and stood up, chucking it to the side (onto my bed so it didn't get fully damaged).

"What a joke" I shook my head my white and black hair fanning out to the side and covering my hand making my hands push it back. Before I knew I was outside walking the somewhat shocking quiet streets. My phone beeped as a message came through making me pull it out, 2am flashed at me as I quickly replied to Kensie letting her know I'm just going for a walk.

Soft breaths of wind passed my ears blowing my hair around as I just let me feet carry me wherever they want. Where was I going? I don't have a clue.

The world passed me as 90% of the city were asleep, the other 10 leaving work late or going to have an early morning fuck.

"God I wish I had my headphones" I muttered getting bored resulting in kicking stones against the pavement and into the road.

A noise pierced through the gentle wind breaths making me halter ever so slightly. Footsteps. I almost stopped dead in my spot before begging my feet not to and kept walking avoiding any shortcuts home.

A tall stranger in the black hoodie was walking towards me, black trousers and equally as dark shoes. It was too late this was it, I was going to die. There was no time to move out the way as the stranger barged past me nearly knocking me over.

"Hey what gives?!" I pushed against the wall that was luckily there next to me and spun to face the back of the stranger who had also now stopped. "What you not going to talk?" Nothing. I groaned inwardly glaring at the hood "could at least say sorry you asshole."

"Calm it down darling." Australian. Clearly Australian.

"Say sorry then."

A deep chuckle came before he spun around, no features were spotted in the dull moonlight, the hood pulled covering up and a dark mask that I hadn't noticed covering his mouth.

"I don't do sorrys darling." His cheek raised up on one side under the mask showing me, he was clearly smirking. I resisted stomping my foot in anger at that and resulted in just crossing my arms.

"Maybe you should."

"Maybe you should let people enjoy their early morning walk." He copied my position making me roll my eyes.

"Maybe you shouldn't bump into people! And not apologise." I was already in a shitty mood and he's made it a lot worse.

"Like I said, I don't apologise."

"Mommy not raise you right." I mocked tilting my head to the side.

"You should shut up darling, talk like that to the wrong person and you'll be dead."

"Huge talk for someone hiding their face from me. You scared or something?"

"Scared of you? You're a little butterfly." He laughed loud clutching his stomach making me glare at him.

"I'm like a motherfucking bee you dick. Now if you excuse me I'm going to continue my walk." I turned about to take a step before his voice cut through me, a lot sharper then before.

"Be careful out there. Heard the gang is still around." The way he said it and worded it sent shivers down my spine "a lot closer than you would expect." Before I could even ask him what the hell he meant about that he was gone without a trace. Didn't even see him leave. What the fuck?

"Fucking weirdo." I rubbed at my eyes before kicking my feet into gear back towards my home. I just needed sleep, I was psyching myself out as his words replayed in my mind. A lot closer than you would expect. They better not be.

Comfort filled me as I reached my home quickly glancing around to make sure I weren't followed. Not that I've ever done that before. What's happened to me? The door was swung open as I quickly stepped in securing the door firmly locked behind me.

"Nic?" Kensie stepped into the room in tears wiping her eyes.

"Kens?" Worry filled me as I took in her disheveled appearance "what's happened?" I reached out towards her making her shake her head.

"It's not really you is it?"

"Kensie it's 2:30 in the morning, it's not the time for these silly games."

"It's not a game, I was told you were killed!" She yelled covering her mouth. What the heck is this night.

"What are you on about? I'm fine. I'm alive. I'm here." Confusion very clear in my tone and look I was giving her.

"Go to your room." She reached out and grabbed my hand pulling me towards my room. My eyes hardly focused in the dim light as I was pulled along, barely noticing blood splatters on our floor. She quickly pushed my door open forcefully, it bouncing out the wall half shutting again.

I barely had time to register what was going on before my eyes widened. Blood, the crimson liquid in our bodies helping keep us alive was all over my room. All over my bed, my window ledge, my wardrobe.

"Oh my god." I breathed out covering my mouth as I took in the scene in front of me.

"That weren't all." Kensie walked past me heading over to my bed grabbing a single piece of paper.

You tried to send us away darling, we saw the article but what you don't know is you've angered us. We're out in full force and sadly this was the cause of it. We will let Kensie know you said goodbye Nicky. Sorry it had to be this way.
M

"Kensie I promise I'm fine. I was just out on a walk and - oh shit." Darling. Darling. Darling.

"Nicky don't do this to me. What are you on about? Why are you freaking out?"

"Darling Kensie. Fucking darling is the reason why."

What is with that word tonight.
