She sat on the cold floor of her dimly lit room, her back pressed against the bed. The small lamp flickered, casting shadows on the walls, mirroring the turmoil inside her. In her lap lay her diary, pages filled with her unspoken thoughts and dreams.

With a trembling hand, she opened to a fresh page and picked up her pen, her heart racing.

"Dear God", she began, her hand shaking with emotion.

"Why are you so cruel to me?" Tears streamed down her cheeks, smudging the ink as she continued. "Why do I have to suffer like this? Why can't I feel the love that everyone else has?, Every day feels like a battle. My family tears me down, and I don't know how much more I can take."

Her mind raced with memories of laughter and warmth that seemed to exist just beyond her reach. "I see families together, friends supporting each other, and I wonder... why am I so alone?, They call me worthless, a burden. Do you hear their words? Do you see their faces when they hit me? How they hit me even for my smallest mistakes."

She paused, her breath hitching in her throat. "I try so hard to be good. I do everything I'm told, but it never seems enough. I just want to be loved, to matter to someone."

The words poured out of her as the pain swelled in her chest. "Do you even hear me?" She could still hear their harsh words, the way her family belittled her everyday, making her feel worthless.

Her hands shook as she wrote, pouring out her heart in a desperate plea. "Why do I have to suffer like this? Is it too much to ask for kindness? For warmth? I just want someone to hold me and tell me it will be okay".

"I feel like I'm drowning in darkness, and every time I reach for the light, I'm pushed back down". Her hands shook as she wrote, anger and sadness mixing in her heart.

She bit her lip, trying to hold back a sob. "I don't want to feel this way anymore."

She pressed her pen harder against the paper, desperate to release the pain inside. "Please, God, I'm begging you to-."

Just then, the door creaked open, and kashvi's sister, Neha, stepped inside with a smirk plastered on her face. The moment kashvi saw her, a cold shiver ran down her spine, she hid the diary.

"kashvi!", Neha called out, her voice dripping with mockery. "Get up! Mom wants you outside."

She quickly wiped her tears, trying to hide her emotions. She nodded slightly, her voice lost in the fear rising within her.

Neha rolled her eyes and stepped closer, her eyes narrowing. "the food you made is burnt and also you broke a glass, You're just a lazy little brat who hides in her room. Mom's not going to let you get away with it this time."

With that, Neha grabbed her arm, yanking her to her feet. "Come on! You need to face it. It's your fault she's upset!"

She felt a knot tighten in her stomach and shook her head, and pulled her away.

Kashvi's heart raced as she followed her sister out of the room. She glanced back at her diary, where her last shred of hope rested between its pages. But Neha's grip was strong, and she was pulled into the hallway, where the harsh light made her squint.

"Look at you," Neha scoffed, pushing her forward. "Always acting so fragile. It's pathetic."

As they stepped into the living room, she could see her mother's furious face, ready to unleash another wave of anger. She stood frozen, nodding slightly, knowing that no words would come out.

"There you are!" her mother barked, her tone sharp. "Do you have any idea what have you done? You're always causing trouble!"

Her stomach twisted, and she nodded again. She could feel the tears threatening to spill over but blinked them away, desperately trying to remain calm.
