It was finally winter down in Gravity Falls, and you couldn't help but feel the overwhelming excitement of the holiday season take over you. You always enjoyed this time of year. The folks in the town would finally slow down, and there was much less weirdness and chaos going on. This year was especially special because you had a new family to celebrate with. One that you could hardly wait to see as you walked down the snowy pathway that led to the Mystery Shack. Trying hard not to drop any of the freshly wrapped gifts you had handmade for everyone, you carefully made your way towards the old rickety porch.
"Hey, (y/n)! Up here!" A familiar gruff voice shouted from above your head.
You took a couple of steps backward, seeing Stanley on top of the roof, hanging up some multicolored lights. Your eyes widened with awe as you smiled at Stanley's big accomplishment.
"It looks so beautiful, Stan!" You cocked an eyebrow. "I never took you to have such a big holiday spirit."
"I thought this old building could use some decoration. This place is depressing." His blatant statement made you giggle. It was nice to see that the blinding number of colors wasn't changing his personality.
"Well, keep up the good work!" You commented as you made your way up towards the door, barely being able to see over the boxes.
Before you could make your way up the stairs, the front door opened. You tried to move out of the way to whoever was coming out but then hit a slick spot on one of the steps. You let out a loud gasp before feeling a strong arm wrap around your side, catching your fall.
"Whoa, careful there, (y/n)!" Ford chuckled and grabbed a few of your boxes. "Here, let me help with those." He gave you a warm smile and helped you inside.
You felt your cheeks get a bit warm. "Oh, thank you, Ford." You stepped inside with him, the warmth feeling pleasant. "Man, when it gets cold here, it gets cold." You sat down the boxes onto the floor and began taking off your coat.
Ford came up from behind you and helped you take it off. "That's always been one of the things I admired about this town. The cold is a great excuse for staying trapped indoors." He let out a small laugh and hung your coat on a rack.
You smiled warmly at his gesture. As you went to thank him for his help, you couldn't help but notice him wearing a festive red sweater, embroidered with a pair of glasses with holiday lights flashing on them. It was one of those quirky things about Ford that you were always attracted to. A bit nerdy.
"(y/n)! You're here!" Mabel yelled at the top of the stairs, rushing down past Dipper to greet you. "Took you long enough!" You kneeled down and gave her a big hug.
"Hey!" You laughed and gave Dipper a wave. "How's it going, you two?" You stood up and placed your hands on your hips. "Your parents let you come here for the holidays?"
Dipper walked over with his hands in his pockets, giving you a small shrug. "We sort of wanted to spend Christmas over here. Especially with how summer ended, we sort of missed this place."
Before you could respond with anything, a loud shriek came from outside, a loud thud following afterward. Ford's eyes went wide before he darted out the door, the rest of you rushing along with him. Stanley was tangled up in flashing Christmas lights and laid there practically buried in the snow.
His groans of agony were muffled by the scarf around his neck as Ford leaned down to help him up. "You alright, Stanely?" He asked with a bit of concern.
"I think I need my hips replaced." He grumbled, standing up while dusting the snow off of him. "Other than that... tadaaa!" He turned around and waited eagerly for everyone's reaction.
