It was now September, everyone was at the field behind the kissing bridge, sitting on some logs as Beverly explains what happened in her trance."I can only remember parts." Beverly said.
"I thought I was dead. That's what it felt like. I saw us, all of us together back in the cistern, but we were older, like our parents ages." Beverly explained.
"W-what were we all doing there?" Bill stuttered as he asked Beverly.
"I just remembered how we felt." She said.
"How scared we were. I don't think I can ever forget that." She admitted.
Bill picked up a piece of glass from an old Coke bottle. The glass was green but no one really paid attention to that.
"Swear it. Swear, if it isn't dead, if it ever comes back, we'll come back, too." Bill said.
Everyone stood up, Bill held his hand out as cut his hand with the piece of glass.
He then moved onto Richie, he cut his palm and Richie winced in pain. Eddie held his palm out and looked away, Richie put his hand, that wasn't cut, on Eddie's shoulder to try make him feel better. Bill cut Eddie's palm, Eddie's watch beeped as Bill moved onto Mike. Mike held his palm out, Bill cut his hand as Mike winced in pain. He moved onto Stanley who held his palm out. Bill cut his hand and Stanley winced and groaned in pain. Bill moved onto Lydia. She looked at Bill, she held her palm out and closed her eyes. Bill cut her palm, Lydia winced in pain. Bill moved onto Ben who he's his palm out, rolling his sleeve up a little. Bill cut his hand and Bill winced. Ben shook his hand as Bill moved onto Beverly, who held her palm out. He cut her palm, her eye twitched but that was it. Bill and Beverly looked at each other before Bill moved back to his spot. He took Beverly's hand and Richie's hand, everyone else was then holding hands with the person beside them.
Everyone held hands for a minute before letting go.
"I gotta go." Stanley said.
He looked Bill up and down, an angry expression on his face.
"I hate you." He said to Bill.
Bill looked up at Stanley then looked away.
Stanley looked away and then smiled and chuckled.
Everyone then laughed.
"I'll see you later." Stanley said.
"Bye Stan." Lydia said.
Stanley walked away.
Lydia looked over at Stanley. Watching him leave.
"Go on after him." Richie said. Lydia jumped slightly and looked at Richie.
"Wh-" Lydia said before getting cut off.
"We know you like him. It's soooo obvious. Just go tell him. Confess your love before it's too late." Richie said. Lydia laughed and rolled her eyes playfully.
"Bye guys." Lydia said. Hugging everyone. She gave Beverly a big hug since she was leaving. Lydia walked over to Richie and gave him a hug. The two were close but not like how Richie was close with Eddie. Richie groaned and pushed Lydia off him. Lydia laughed. She knew he meant well and that was a sign of "don't hug me, hug Stan." So she rolled her eyes.
"Right, I'll tell him. Goodbye. See you all around school!" Lydia said to the others. She looked at Beverly.
"See you sometime soon." She said giving her a smile. Lydia than ran off to catch up with Stan. She saw him walking down the kissing bridge.
"Stanley!" She called out.
He turned around seeing Lydia. He stopped walking. She ran over to him. She paused, trying to catch her breath.
"Lydia are you-" Stanley said before getting cut off.
"I'm fine just let me catch my breath." She finally caught her breath.
"Right, so I just wanted to tell you something. I've been wanting to tell you this since I met you but I didn't. And I'm scared we won't hang around or see each other next year in school and all so I just wanna come clean." She said. Stanley nodded.
"Okay... what is it?" He asked. She looked at him.
"Stanley, I like you a lot, like more than a friend, you know..." She said. She felt a weight lift off of her shoulders. Stanley was shocked but smiled.
"I like you too." He said. She smiled. She hugged him. He hugged her back. She looked up at him and he looked up at her. The two leaned in and...
Kissed.
"Woah! Look at Stan the man getting some!" Richie shouted.
"Shut up Richie!"
The two shouted......
