The room feels tense as Rose steps forward, her grip on Bakugo's hand loosening as she prepares to face Rio. She switches to Spanish as they begin speaking, the quick, sharp exchange of words leaving the rest of the group in the dark.

"Where the hell have you been?" Rio's voice is low and controlled, but there's an edge of accusation. "You abandoned us, Rosalia. You left without a word."

"I didn't abandon anyone," she responds, her tone steady but laced with guilt. She gestures toward Bakugo, her eyes flicking between her cousin and the man she's come to care about. "Someone... grabbed my attention."

Rio's gaze follows her gesture, his eyes landing on Bakugo. There's a brief moment of silent appraisal before he looks back at Rosalia, unimpressed. "This guy?" He doesn't say it, but it's written all over his face.

Bakugo watches the exchange, his patience wearing thin. He doesn't speak Spanish, and the rapid-fire conversation between Rose and Rio is grating on his nerves. He can't stand being in the dark, especially when it involves her.

"What the hell are you two saying?" Bakugo finally snaps, his voice a low growl. His eyes lock onto Rose, frustration clear on his face.

Rosalia glances back at Bakugo, her expression softening slightly. "He's just questioning me," she says quietly, trying to soothe his frustration. "It's fine, I'm handling it."

Rio shifts his attention back to Rose, his eyes narrowing as he continues his line of questioning. "So, are you the one in charge now? You left us to run your own show?" His words are sharp, filled with the weight of responsibility she left behind.

"No," she says, shaking her head. "Bakugo is the leader. I'm not in charge of the group."

Rio raises an eyebrow, glancing back at Bakugo again, clearly sizing him up. There's a flicker of something—respect, maybe, or curiosity—but he doesn't say anything. He seems satisfied with her answer, though the tension hasn't fully dissipated.

After a few more tense exchanges in Spanish, Rio finally stands, crossing his arms as a smile spreads across his face. It's a small but genuine smile, and the weight of the moment lifts slightly.

"You've got guts," he says, his voice lighter now. "I can't stay mad at you, can I?"

A wave of relief washes over her, and she allows herself to smile back. She knows now that Rio has forgiven her, even if he won't say it outright. She crosses the room quickly and wraps him in a hug, the tension between them melting away.

Turning back to thegroup, she speaks, her tone lighter and more relaxed. "Everyone, this is mycousin, Rio. He's the one who taught me how to hijack a plane." She gesturestoward him with a smirk. "He runs things here in Spain."
