The moonlight filters through the window of their shared room. Rose is fast asleep, curled into Bakugo's side, while Bakugo stays awake, his mind racing with thoughts of their impending escape. He watches her sleep, feeling the weight of what he's about to ask her. Grandma's letter, tucked safely into his jacket, feels heavier than anything he's carried.
"Will she really leave? Will she follow me?" The questions echo in Bakugo's mind as he watches her peaceful expression. He knows he's about to test her loyalty in the most significant way, but he can't shake the worry gnawing at him. He doesn't want to drag her away from her family, but he knows staying isn't an option.
The clock strikes the predetermined time, and Bakugo knows it's time to leave. He gently shakes her awake. She stirs, sitting up groggily, her eyes half-open as she looks at him in confusion.
"Katsuki...?" she murmurs, her voice thick with sleep. "What's going on?"
Bakugo watches her carefully, knowing this moment will reveal everything. "This is it," he thinks, his heart pounding. "I need to know if she'll really leave with me."
"Rosalia," Bakugo begins, his voice soft but serious. "Would you follow me anywhere?"
Rose blinks, trying to shake off the sleep. "Of course," she replies, her voice steady despite her confusion. "I've told you before, Katsuki... I'll follow you wherever you go."
Bakugo studies her face, his eyes searching for any hesitation, but there's none. He takes a deep breath, his voice low as he asks, "Do you love me?"
She looks him straight in the eyes, the fog of sleep clearing as she answers without hesitation. "Yes. I love you."
Bakugo's heart races as he watches her. She's being honest—he can see it in her eyes. But now comes the hardest part. "We're leaving," he says, his voice firm. "Right now."
For a moment, she is silent, her mind racing to catch up with what Bakugo just said. Her heart skips a beat, and she shakes her head in disbelief. "Are you joking?" she asks, her voice barely above a whisper.
Bakugo doesn't answer. He just looks at her, his expression unwavering. His silence is all the confirmation she needs.
Rose's heart drops as the reality of the situation sinks in. He's serious. We're really leaving. She hesitates, her mind swirling with thoughts of her family, her cousin, her grandmother. But then she remembers her promise—to follow Bakugo anywhere.
She takes a deep breath, her eyes meeting Bakugo's. "Okay," she says softly, her voice barely audible. "I'll go with you."
Bakugo feels a wave of relief wash over him. She stayed true to her word. She's coming with him. He watches as she slowly gets out of bed, her movements hesitant but sure. His heart swells with emotion, and he chooses this moment to be completely vulnerable.
"I love you," Bakugo says, the words heavy with truth and vulnerability. He's never said them aloud before, but now they come easily, full of meaning.
Rose pauses, her eyes widening as she hears the words she's been waiting for. She turns to him, her heart aching with emotion. "I love you too," she whispers, a soft smile tugging at her lips as she steps closer to him.
Bakugo takes a deepbreath, his mind now fully focused on the escape. "Let's go," he says, hisvoice steady. They gather their things quickly, Rose still processing the factthat they're leaving Spain tonight.
