Chapter 6

"Good morning, boys! How's the first night in Tampa?" Devin asked while sipping a cup of hot coffee on the porch of the mansion's backyard. 

Isa-isa namang pumwesto ang magkakaibigan. Umupo si Connagh malapit kay Devin habang huminga naman sa sahig si Franklin. Inaantok pa na sumama si Harri at Caiden sa kanila. Natatawa naman si Devin nang makita si Franklin na halos malugmok pa rin sa nangyari sa kanya kagabi. Hindi nito makalimutan kung paano siya maisahan ng babaeng kinasama niya.

"What are we doing to do today?" Franklin asked.

"We play some hide and seek," Harri suggested. "I'm still too sleepy to do anything, to be honest. What do you have for us today, Dev?"

"What do you want to do?" balik na tanong ng kaibigan nito. "We can do a lot of things. Just say what is it, but please, don't do the stupid thing like what Frank did last night."

"Not me, again," Franklin groaned as he rolled himself on the floor. "It was still good sex though!"

"It should be!" sagot ni Caiden. "You lost your phone and wallet so sex should be on top of it."

"Yeah, but let's not go to any clubs tonight—" Natigil sa pagsasalita si Franklin nang biglang makarinig ng phone call. They all searched where it was coming from until Devin excused himself to answer it. Pumasok sa loob si Devin habang naiwan ang apat sa labas. "There goes the millionaire leaving us again. . ."

"He got a lot of things going on in Vegas right now," Connagh said. "But he was trying to give more of his time with us here in Tampa."

"We should hide his phone," natatawang suggestion pa ni Harri. "Do you think it would be a good idea?"

Wala namang sumagot sa kanya, pero supportive siya sa desisyon niya. They're out to have the best time of their lives, but seemingly everyone was already tired to do something. Marami pang sinuggest si Harri na gagawin nila, pero walang sumasang-ayon sa kanya. He was going out of ideas and no one would go along with him.

"Why don't you try to go back to South Africa?" Caiden suggested. "Your parents probably missed you."

Napangisi naman si Harri at iling na lamang ito. "I'm not sure what you meant by that, but I'm not going back to Cape Town sooner. Remember, I lived in Vegas now and my life's here in the US."

Caiden raised his hands in the air. "Okay, okay. Don't get mad at me, Harri. I was just saying it as a joke. Don't get offended."

Hindi sinagot ni Harri ang kaibigan dahil sa tingin niya ay mali ang sinabi nito. It was like pushing him away to leave the country and stay where he was come from. Nanahimik na lamang siya. Ilang saglit lang din naman ay bumalik Devin na wala ng kausap sa phone.

"Get ready, boys. We're going out tonight," anunsyo nito na agad nagpa-alarma sa mga kaibigan nito. "We'll be going to a party tonight. So, get your asses ready. We'll go to the mall and buy some clothes."

"Let's go!" Biglang napabangon si Franklin mula sa pagkakahiga sa sahig.

Dali-dali namang kumilos ang apat na nagbihis ng maayos. They didn't want to miss this chance lalo na't si Devin na mismo ang nag-aya sa kanila. Devin wasn't the type of friend na titipirin ka as long as he think na deserve naman nila 'yon ay ibibigay niya. That's why he brought them all to Tampa where they could have fun and do all the things they wanted to do.

Mabilis na nakapag-ayos ang apat. Nagkita-kita na lamang sila sa may living room kung saan sa pagdating ni Devin ay nakaabang na sa kanya ang apat na kaibigan. He chuckled as he found them all dressed up. Sinundan nila ito palabas ng mansion kung saan nakaabang din ang sasakyan na magdadala sa kanila sa mall. Devin asked the driver to let him drive the car instead. He got the key and jumped inside the driver's seat. Sumunod na pumasok ang apat. Katabi ni Devin si Connagh sa harapan habang sina Franklin, Caiden, at Harri ay nasa passenger seat.
