Mia sat in Messiahs bed alone while he was in his office working from home. He wasn't going to work today but he decided he'd work for a few hours to give Mia privacy to talk it out with Sahara.

Her finger hovered over the call button on Sahara's contact, hesitating as she prepared to reach out. Just as she was about to press it, her phone buzzed with a text from CJ.

Cj❤️
We can talk now?

Mia's body tensed at the sight of his name. Guilt washed over her, pulling her thoughts away from the moment she'd just shared with Messiah. For a brief second, she had managed to forget about CJ, but now the reality of the situation came crashing back. If CJ found out about her time with Messiah, he would make her life a living hell, branding her as the city hoe and unleashing a storm of drama that she wasn't ready for.

"Yea. I'm at work rn tho." She texted back lying.

After sending the message, she sighed, shaking her head to clear her thoughts. She needed to focus on Sahara, on her friend who had been disrespected and hurt. Mia tapped the call button, her heart pounding as the phone rang.

"Come on, pick up..." she murmured under her breath.

After a few rings, Sahara finally answered.
"Heyy"

"Hey" Mia replied

They sat in silence for a few moments as Sahara shuffled around in her room.

Mia broke the silence with a heavy sigh. "So, I just want to apologize for CJ and the shit he said to you. I really didn't know he was going to act like that, and I tried to get him to apologize, but... I don't know, he's just so..."

Her voice trailed off as the emotions caught up with her, and she felt her eyes begin to water. The realization that the person she loved was capable of treating her friend with such disrespect hit her hard. She felt a mix of anger and sorrow, overwhelmed by the weight of the situation.

Sahara listened quietly for a moment, then sighed. "Mia, it's okay. You're not responsible for that bitch's actions," she said firmly. "I know you didn't cosign what he did."

Mia sniffled, wiping at her eyes.

"But Mia, I gotta be real with you. You need to grow a backbone. Like, for real. The way he just snatches your phone but you can't even touch his? Crazy. The way you stay quiet when he's cussing you out? And I'm not gonna lie I feel like you could've stood up for me more, but at the same time I understand that he's clearly a psychopath and it can be hard."

Mia bit her lip, guilt creeping in. She felt so bad for not standing up more for Sahara.

"It's like..." Sahara paused, her tone heavy with concern, "he's tryna control you, ruin your friendships and everything else. That's what a narcissist does, Mia. You gotta leave him before he gets worse, like putting his hands on you."

Mia's tears fell harder. "I know! I know..." she sobbed, her voice breaking. "It's just... I don't know why it's so hard." She sniffled again, barely holding it together. "I've been trying to get back at him, you know? Messiah and I... we've been messing around."

"Woahhh Messiah?," Sahara started, a smirk creeping onto her face. "Ok Mia I'm lowkey happy you're getting back at Cj. He deserves it for the way he's been treating you. And honestly, Messiah? He's fine as hell, so good for you."

Mia's eyes widened, surprised at Sahara's response. She had expected more judgment, but instead, Sahara seemed almost proud.

"Really?" Mia asked, wiping her tears. "You're not mad?"
