"It's really annoying, you know," Lin said as he pushed himself up, dusting off his shirt. His tone was casual, almost bored, despite the blood staining his lips. He cracked his knuckles, eyes locked on Daniel's emotionless face. "That card can only be used once a month... But now? Now's just a waste."
With that, Lin lunged forward, his fist flying towards Daniel with immense speed. Daniel responded instantly, his own fist shooting up to intercept the blow. The two fists collided with a deafening crack, sending shockwaves through the ground beneath them.
Lin grinned. "He's not holding back at all… Good."
Daniel wasted no time, his body moving with machine-like precision. He launched a high kick aimed at Lin's head, his leg cutting through the air like a blade. Lin ducked, feeling the wind rush past his head as Daniel's kick missed by inches. Lin retaliated with a swift punch to Daniel's midsection, his fist driving deep into Daniel's gut.
The impact sent Daniel skidding back several feet, but he didn't waver. No grunt of pain, no flinch, no hesitation—just cold, calculated movement.
"Still no reaction, huh?" Lin muttered, shaking his head. "Let's see if I can change that."
Daniel charged again, throwing a flurry of punches and kicks, each strike aimed with deadly precision. Lin met every blow with ease, his body moving in perfect sync with Daniel's attacks. It was a dance of pure combat, two forces clashing in a violent rhythm. But while Daniel fought like a machine, Lin fought with something else—something raw, instinctive, and powerful.
Clang! Lin's arm blocked a powerful roundhouse kick, but the force behind it still sent him sliding back. He let out a small chuckle. "You've got strength, I'll give you that. But it's not enough."
Daniel dashed forward, his fist aimed at Lin's chest with enough force to shatter bones. Lin sidestepped, grabbing Daniel's wrist mid-strike and twisting it in an Aikido maneuver. Daniel spun in the air, but before he could recover, Lin delivered a brutal elbow strike to his back, sending him crashing into the ground.
But Daniel was relentless. Before Lin could follow up, Daniel shot back to his feet, charging at Lin with an unyielding force. His knee flew up, aiming for Lin's ribs. Lin caught it with his forearm, gritting his teeth as the power behind the strike made his bones rattle. Daniel's strength was immense—anyone else would've been torn apart by now. But Lin?
He was different.
"Is that all you've got?" Lin taunted as he delivered a savage punch to Daniel's chest. The blow sent Daniel crashing into a nearby wall, debris flying everywhere. But even as the dust settled, Daniel stood once more, his eyes cold and unfeeling, body moving back into position.
Lin chuckled, his breath slightly heavier but his energy still surging. "This... is fun."
The fight continued, each exchange more intense than the last. Daniel's strikes were faster, more precise, and filled with power that could take down anyone—but Lin was no ordinary opponent. He parried, dodged, and countered such easily that it was almost like he could predict Daniel's every move.
Suddenly, Daniel's body blurred, his speed increasing dramatically. He closed the distance between them in an instant, throwing a powerful punch that Lin barely managed to dodge. The force of the missed blow shattered the concrete behind him.
"He's getting faster... Lin" thought, his grin widening. "Good."
Daniel came at him again, this time with a spinning back kick that aimed directly at Lin's head. Lin ducked and spun around, delivering a swift kick to Daniel's legs that swept him off his feet. Daniel hit the ground, but Lin wasn't done. He leaped into the air, coming down with a crushing stomp aimed at Daniel's chest.
But Daniel wasn't finished either.
With a burst of speed, Daniel rolled out of the way and jumped back to his feet, throwing a punch that connected squarely with Lin's ribs. The force of the hit sent Lin stumbling back a few feet, but he quickly recovered, a grin spreading across his face.
"That's more like it!" Lin shouted, charging at Daniel with renewed vigor.
He unleashed a barrage of punches, each one connecting with devastating precision. Daniel blocked some, but most landed squarely on his torso and head. Lin's fists were like hammers, beating down on Daniel with relentless force. Daniel staggered, his body absorbing the blows, but it was clear he was losing ground.
Lin's final punch-a straight shot to the chest-hit with such power that Daniel was sent flying back. He crashed into the ground, skidding across the dirt as his body finally showed signs of slowing.
Breathing slightly, Lin approached Daniel, his eyes glinting with satisfaction. Daniel's body was battered and broken, but he still tried to rise, his hands trembling as he pushed himself up.
But Lin wasn't going to let him.
With a quick step forward, Lin delivered a final, bone-crunching kick to Daniel's side, sending him sprawling to the ground once again. This time, Daniel didn't get up. His body lay still, unconscious, his lifeless eyes finally closing.
Lin stood over him, panting slightly, his adrenaline still coursing through his veins. He wiped the blood from his mouth again, glancing down at Daniel's unmoving form.
"Looks like... I win without using it." he said w
