Chapter Twelve: Team Flare
After that little incident, Ash told everyone everything he knew. To say it didn't go over well was an understatement. After some yelling, hitting, and promises, they calmed down. Ash's injuries had gotten much worse, but when they went to bed, something really strange happened.
In the morning, after more yelling, a Flare grunt approached them. The man seemed to be crazy, and was pissed off about something. Morpeko looked at the man angrily, looking ready to kill. The rat had gotten an unrelenting hatred towards team flare, just like her trainer.
Flare Grunt: Who are you?! Get outta the way! There's Gym Leaders after me, move! Wartortle, Hydro Pump!
Marnie: Thunderbolt.
Wartortle was knocked out instantly. Morpeko kicked the body away, before zapping the grunt. He hit the dirt on his knees, looking stricken. Behind him came out Clemont, Voila, and someone else. She had pink clothes on, bug-like eyes, lots of makeup, and next to her was a Slyveon.
Marnie: Oh great, the fairy type gym leader.
Bonnie: Clemont!
Clemont: Bonnie?
Bonnie crashed into her brother, hugging him tightly. Clemont hugged her back, a confused expression. The other two gym leaders watched. Gloria and Korrina waved at them, the two waving back.
Marnie: So what's happening over here?
Voila: We found a Flare hideout by Lumiose. Turns out their planning to take over the city. So us three are dealing with it. Wanna come help? Apparently one of you took down Ramo's famous Mega Sczior, so you'd be pretty helpful.
Gloria: Why is it famous?
Voila: Oh it's a complete monster, which is why he's the strongest Kalos gym leader.
Marnie: Sure we'll go.
Gloria: Is this the fairy gym leader?
Korrina: The one and only. She's a little annoying, much too girly, but still a decent trainer. You guys will crush her.
Marnie: Name?
Korrina: Valerie.
Valerie: I'm right here. And Clemont, who are these people.
Clemont: Ash and Marnie. No idea who the brown-haired girl is.
Gloria: Names Gloria.
Valerie: Oh? You're the dark trainers? Which one does Sycamore call Dark Champion?
Marnie: That'd be Ash. (Elbows him) Right Ash?
Ash had a far off look in his eye, not paying attention to anything. Marnie tapped his forhead, getting his attention.
Ash: Huh? Oh yeah yeah. I'm Dark Champion apparently.
Clemont: You're a dark trainer?!
Ash: Here we go. Just thank Arceus he doesn't know about my powers. Yeah I'm a dark trainer. So about Flare, can I come? I need info.
Valerie: Yeah, like we'll need a dark trainer.
Voila: Oh shut up, he's a good kid. You can come Ash, just don't die. Bonnie, you're not going.
Bonnie: But-
Marnie: Sorry little one.
Clemont: Try to keep up.
Ash: So got an infiltration plan?
Voila: We need a way to get in, that's all. When we do, we can start blasting. None of our pokemon are good with blowing things up, and Clemonts are much too weak, so got one for that?
