chapter five • watching them together

abbie's pov

today sam, colby and i are going to the stanley hotel to film a video but colby decided to bring a little guest.

emily.

yes i know that they're together and that they're probably in love but it just.. bugs me y'know?

she hates me but she acts like we're best friends and i know fine well that colby knows i hate her.

instead of getting worked up about emily coming, i just wanna get this video over with.

but watching them together just.. doesn't sit right with me.. but i don't know why?

we're just about to do our tour.

the tour took around 40 minutes and the second that we finished it, sam, colby and i filmed the intro along with introducing emily.

we were about 20 minutes into the first investigation and the alice box said emily's name and that didn't end well..

emily got so scared and even cried.

colby comforted her and sam and i just looked at eachother not giving a flying fuck.

eventually after a few meltdowns and like a thousand investigations we were finally done with the video.

we all went to a 24 hour chick-fil-a about 25 minutes away from the hotel we were staying at.

when we got inside, sam and i sat together on one side of the booth while emily and colby sat on the other, colby in front of me.

me and colby made a few jokes and i could tell that emily didn't like it.

i decided to go to the bathroom to freshen myself up and not long after, emily walked in behind me.

"stay away from him." emily said as she turned away from the mirror facing me.

"huh?"

"i said, stay. away. from. colby."

i was so taken back from what she said because i couldn't understand what made her think i wanted to be near him.

"what are you talking about?" i asked her.

"you and colby. you clearly like him and you need to leave him alone."

"whatever." i said as i walked out of the bathroom back to the table.

she soon followed after me and sat down.

i have no clue what just went on in the bathroom but i feel as though i was just yelled at by my mom.

we had a pretty chilled out night after that and the second me got to the hotel, we fell straight asleep.

let's just hope emily wasn't being that serious...
