He stared quietly at the golden cross on the wall. Staring at himself in the reflection.
You've gotten weaker
It was getting obvious. Fallen'Destiny relied on his angelic powers for battle. Otherwise he was useless. A weak, scared cat hybrid. Something he could never be..
"I'm going to kill that man."
He growled. Clutching the cross around his neck. Tail beginning to lash out in anger as memories came flooding back. Ones he didn't want to remember...
"Aren't you coming?"
A young Tidalscar chuckled as the two kits snuck away from their parents and over the bridge. Playing around near the calm rivers and cold waters as they tackled and play fought with each other. Two young kits, just happy to be alive.
Two young kits, who in a flash, were adults. Snuggled into one another's embrace under the moonlight's gaze.
"I love you, Fallen. I'll always love you."
The larger, black oriental shorthair smirked. Giving Fallen a soft kiss on his forehead as he curled his tail around him. Purring quietly.
Why..WHY DID HE LOVE A SINNER!?
It'd been years since he repented to the Heavenly Father, yet he still felt the burden on his shoulders. Loving another man was wrong. It was against the bible's teachings, right!? Then..why did he still feel like, deep down, he..loved Tidalscar?
His thoughts were quickly interrupted when his assistant stepped in, Monarch. He was a a relatively shy boy. Only around 20, though if it weren't for his height you could pass him off as a 12 year old easily. The bandages around his eyes and mouth still somehow remained white too. That always seemed odd to Fallen, but he never questioned it. Why should he? Monarch was just some pathetic bug to him. Something he could use and throw away when he was done with it. The young Marbled Butterfly hybrid was really just a punching bag at this point. Barely an assistant. Barely a person in the eyes of Fallen'Destiny.
"What is it, you wretched bug?"
Fallen didn't bother facing Monarch. He didn't want anyone to see his face of pain and sadness.
"Well, sir..I do believe we have someone who would like to speak to you?"
Great. Another imbecile. What could they possibly want this time? Just another danm favour?
"Send them in.."
Monarch nodded after the words were spoken. To Fallen's surprise, the stranger was none other than Deadeye Bloom. One of Arcadian Citadel's top hitmen. His eyes widened once he saw the man. The burns on his neck, leading up to his ear. How could he just display them so confidently? It baffled Fallen.
Eventually, the masked man spoke.
"Good evening, sir. I have heard all about your agency of, "The Shadow Hunters", and couldn't help but be interested. You're after Tidalscar Skalshua, Correct?"
How did this man know of his motives? He had assured everyone in the city they were there to protect, not harm.
"How..did you know?"
Deadeye let out a chuckle as he slowly stepped closer. Staring right into Fallen's eyes like a viper about to attack its prey. The expression on his mask wasn't exactly helping. It was a permanent, sadistic grin. And the blood splatter around the eye only served as a reminder that he didn't care who he killed.
"I know everything. Now, shall we discuss business?"
...silence. Was this man really trustworthy? Though, did Fallen have any choice? No. So with a mix of fear, anger and determination, he answered. Folding his arms behind his back.
"Yes, sir. Follow me."
