Nivedita, however, couldn't shake off the image of that car, the one that had splashed mud on her earlier that day. Her white kurta had been ruined, and though she hadn't been able to confirm, something in her gut told her it was Anirudh's car.

She spotted him in the crowd, laughing with his cousins, his usual carefree self. Iska hi kaam hoga, she thought, narrowing her eyes. Deciding to confront him in her own way, she made her way through the sea of people.

"Anirudh," she called out sweetly, causing him to look over. He walked towards her, a questioning smile on his face.

"Haan, Nivedita? Kya baat hai?" he asked, slightly confused by her sudden urgency.

"Amrit ne kaha tha tumhe prasaad dena hai," she lied smoothly, holding out the plate. "Woh bola ki tumhare car mein rakh do. So, mujhe batana kaunsi car tumhari hai."

Anirudh's smile faltered, his heart skipping a beat. Yeh kaise pata chala? he thought, remembering the moment earlier when he'd accidentally splashed mud on her. His heart raced—he hadn't meant to, but he hadn't apologized either, fearing her wrath.

"Uh, car...?" he hesitated, scratching his head nervously. "Woh... left mein jo blue car hai, woh meri hai." He tried to act casual but was clearly uncomfortable.

Nivedita's eyes gleamed as she realized her hunch was right. She gestured for him to lead the way, and as they approached the car, she noticed Anirudh fidgeting. When he opened the door of the same car that had drenched her in mud earlier, she wasted no time.

Suddenly, she reached out and twisted his ear, catching him completely off guard. "Yeh kya kar rahe ho?! Dimaag kharab hai kya?!" Anirudh yelped, his voice rising in panic.

Nivedita smirked. "Mud splash karne mein bada maza aaya tha na?" She continued twisting his ear.

"Ouch! Chhodo yaar, it was an accident!" Anirudh winced, trying to defend himself. "Maine jaan-bujh ke nahi kiya! Tumhare kapde kharaab ho gaye the, but I didn't know kaise sorry bolu!"

"Sorry bolne ka bas ek hi tareeka hai—saaf karo meri car!" she teased, finally letting go of his ear.

Anirudh rubbed his ear and grumbled, "Tum sach mein hitler ho yaar."

"Hitler hoon? Aur tum kya ho? Criminal ho! Mud splash karke nikal gaye bina sorry bolke!" she shot back playfully, but there was an undeniable spark in her eyes.

Their banter continued, the teasing growing lighter with every passing second. Despite her outward annoyance, Nivedita couldn't help but smile at the boyish grin Anirudh gave her.

Pata nahi yeh ladki kab samjhegi, Anirudh thought, his heart softening. He hadn't told her yet, but he was hopelessly in love with her—though he doubted she felt the same way. Still, moments like these, full of sour-sweet exchanges, gave him hope that maybe, one day, she would.
